Best heating pad for newborns please?? I have a nursery and every so often have puppies. Well I use a little heater in the nursery to keep it warm for the newborns and my other adults sleep in there and do not like the increase in temperature. Yes I have tried a heating pad and my dam last time chewed the cord (thank God it wasn't plugged in). The heating pad also auto turned off after a bit and that didn't help regulate as I would have to manually go in and turn it on again. Any suggestions for a heating pad that stays warm for the babies. I'm very worried about the fading puppy thing and want to keep them warm :-) Thanks |
These are the ones I use from walmart. Walmart.com: PetSafe Universal Pet Bed Warmer: Cats Walmart has several to offer in pets. You can also buy a metal spring big enough to run the cord thru to prevent chewing. |
Ive never seen that there. I'll go on the site. I just want something that lasts and does not auto turn off. Do these stay on all the time? Also where do you get a metal spring? |
Yes they stay on all the time, they do not get very hot and stay the same temperature all the time. You can get a spring at any hardware store or you can spray the cord with bitter apple to keep her from chewing it. |
Walmart has this one too, it already has a spring covering the cord. Walmart.com: Farm Innovators Medium Heated Pet Mat: Dogs |
thanks for taking time to respond :=) researching those and the lectros I just came across |
