Pictures...help O.K. How does everyone get such cute pictures of their furbabies....I can't seem to get the pups to stay in one place for more than a split second....if they are being cute i'll grab the camera..which is always close by..and just as my finger goes to push the clicker they move  ...they are driving me crazy....they are sooooo darn cute and i want everyone to see them but darn't they won't let me take their picture....i have tons and tons of butt shots...if anyone is interested.....can you let me in on your secret??? |
I have a bed that is pretty high off the floor. I put them up there, and they don't go too close to the edge-and won't run away while I'm trying to get pictures. Also, now that Scout has graduated puppy kindergarten, he will sit and stay on demand (with a treat in hand) but I gotta be pretty quick on that one, too. It's very hard to get a shot of the two of them together. I'd say Villette is the expert at group shots...LOL |
A lot of puppies are scared of cameras. I read a post where Villette said not to use a flash. That might help you. :D |
Patience! Is the key. I have some GREAT shots, but I lay out in the yard on my stomach and let him do his thing, and I just wait for the right shots, I'm sure my neighbors think Im a wack-job! ( Im out there all the time).. But hey I have some great shots! |
I USED to sit and wait for shots - but now I usually take them and sit them in a chair and they're pretty good - I DO turn off my flash...My first camera was ok - but this camera has a brigher flash and they shut their eyes - Holding a BRIBE works wonders too - Chicken is a favorite of my girls :D |
I think the biggest trick is to take lots and lots of pictures, then one of them may turn out to be good. We probably have 1000 photos of our furkids, and I'd say there are only 25 or so that we just absolutly LOVE and would hang on our wall. Our camera (a digital) has a setting on it especially for taking pictures of pets that makes the shutter snap the picture faster. We usually use that setting. If you have a digital camera, you probably have something similar - like a sports setting or a kids or pets setting. If it's a digital camera, turning off the flash can make the picture snap faster, too. Good luck and have fun! |
i do have a digital but I swear they know when i'm going to click the button cause then they move so all i get is their butt....plus it doesn't help that they have to be by me ALL the time {mmmmm...doesn't have anything to do with the fact that they are totally spoil...do you think} yes they do have cute butts but I would like some face shots....no kidding ...I bet i took 75 shots today outside and maybe 5 i got their faces or a side profile...the rest were their butts....and when I do get away from them....yes i try sneaking...just as i start to click they run to me.....i am almost ready to try super glue and glue their little behinds down...they are such stinkers..... |
I use a digital camera I take about 20 and maybe get two good ones out if it. lol |
LOL - Now that I think of it, most of our good ones from when they were little came when they were asleep on someone's lap. Maybe you'll have to wait a few months until they get old enough to sit still for ten seconds! Or you could take videos and get some still shots from that... |
