Nikki took his Mom Taco Bell today 4 Attachment(s) Nikki and I went to see Carol today. She is finally out of isolation and wanted Taco Bell. Nikki was a little afraid at first of the Oxygen tubes and the noise the concentrator made. But he adjusted pretty quickly and was giving his Mom kisses. Carol looks better than I expected but is still very weak. She ate everything we brought and thoroughly enjoyed it. Hope you enjoy the pictures. Thanks again for all the prayers. |

It's so moving to see their love for eachother. Nikki is probably the best medicine Carol can get right now. Nikki's so focused on her, it's hard not to smile at the pics. :) Carol looks thinner, but still pretty good considering what she's been through. I'm glad she enjoyed her Taco Bell. :D |
Nikki and Carol are so very lucky to have you as their friend. You're one special lady! |
My heart is overjoyed to see them so happy together! Nothing is better than your furbaby's love and thats the best medicine one can have! Your a great friend! |
Yorkie Kisses Yorkie kisses are better than any medicine. Bless you for taking care of both of them. :D |
Yes, Carol looks much better and she has been through so much too. Smiled with the first set of pics, but those 2nd ones really brought the tear, happy and sad tears I guess. They love each other so very much! Patti you are a wonderful friend...so special!!! |
Aww Patti, i'm so glad Carol is doing better. Glad you were able to get her the taco bell pizza she was craving. It makes me smile that this woman has such a great appetite...good for her! I bet Carol loves her visits with Nikki. |
Patti, You are truly one of the wonderful caring people put on this earth. You make Carol's day visiting with her, bringing her food she'd like to have and her favorite of them all is taking Nikki to visit with her. Those second set of pictures show just how much love is between them, makes my heart happy to see that. Dyan |
Patti you are one wonderful gal. I wish I could give you a hug. |
I love this story:) I always get choked up when I see those sweet photos. Patti you are precious! |
Patti, I look forward to seeing the pics of your visits so very much. It's just wonderful to see how happy Carol looks during the visits. I notice how Nikki doesn't seem to take his eyes off of her. You know, those little one's are smart and he knows she is not well. Did she hate to see him leave this time as much as before? You're wonderful, by the way!:) |
I have no words. Sniff sniff. |
the three pictures together just touched my heart and made me cry. I remember when it seem the only thing that got my mother-in-law up in the morning was a beatiful little poodle that she wanted to love on and feed. People just don't get what animals can and do in the process of us getting our health back. Thank you for sharing and I will pray for this precious lady. |
Patti, thank you so much for the update - as usual, the photos are just beyond words. Bless your heart! |

There's no better medicine than love from your furbaby. Hope she gets better soon... |
You and Nikki are the best medicine. |
Thank you for the update on Carol with her darling baby. I don't know the whole story here. Is Carol temporarily parted from Nickki while she gets well or is she in assisted living now for the remainder? My heart goes out to Carol enduring the 'golden years' to begin with and not having her baby with her always and was wondering. Also if when I reach that stage, Patti, can I move to a place close to you so you would help me see my babies? lol You are an angel to take the time out of your life to ensure Carol gets to visit with her darling. There is a special place in this world and in heaven for people like you. I can't even imagine having a person so special as you in my life to help. Bless you darlin..and huge prayers and love to Carol and Nickki. |
Your visits with Carol always make me feel good. Carol looks a little weaker, but I'm glad she hasn't lost her appetite. Bless you for your kindness, Patti. |

A little background: I met Carol about 15 months ago at the senior bldg my Dad lived at. I was drawn to her by Nikki. After talking to her a few times I found out she couldn't afford t o get Nikki groomed anymore. So I offered to groom him. She is a vert proud women and at first refused my offer. Then a few days later she left a note on my dad's door saying that if the offer was still good she would take me up on it. As I got to know her better I found out she didn't have money for groceries or medicine. Nikki always had food, but did not eat much since his teeth were in horrible shape. I took Nikki to her vet and he was so kind to cut me a deal to get Nikki's dental done. He charged 400 for over 900 in extensive dental work. I started bringing him cans of California Natural and he started eating really well. I made sure Carol ate as well. Her kids were estranged from her as the last time she had a stroke( 3-4 years ago) and was in the hospital for 3 days, they gave away her other yorkie and greyhound. I promised I would not let that happen to Nikki should anything happen to her. Well, this past February she had another stroke and will never be able to live on her own again or have Nikki. I took him home and then notified her family she was in ICU. We did not want them knowing until Nikki was safe with me. So Nikki will always have a home with me. He was a rescue when Carol got him 3 years ago and I will never let him be homeless again. Sorry this got long winded. |
Patti, I just wanted to send you a big hug! Does Carol know she's become a darling of YT? :D |
These photos are so touching. Patti, you are such a kind, kind person. :) Incidentally, Nikki was allowed in a medical facility? I thought pets were banned from those places. |
You can really see the joy in Carol's eyes when she looks at Nikki. And Patti, there's a special place for people like you. |

But thank GOD in heaven, Carol and Nikki found you, and you them. When you go to sleep at night my friend, please know in your heart, that you make a HUGE difference in someone's life and really more than just Carol's and Nikki's. In today's world of me me me me and not wanting to get screwed over, people are not the caliber that you have risen to. I have nothing but admiration for you. My heart rejoices that there are still people like you out there. Maybe Carol will never come home, but she will never be without Nikki, which is apparently, besides you, is all she has. Your a real treasure ...and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. Bless you. Thank you for the updates. They always make me cry, but in a good way. |
