Tallulah Used the Piddle Pad! I am so proud! This morning we got up and went straight into the bathroom where T piddled on the pad right away. Of course she then piddled and pooped on the tile a few minutes later but even so... At daycare she piddled on the pad twice and piddled and pooped on the tile a couple of times. But tonight she used the pad exclusively with a little encouragement from me. I think she's getting the idea. I'm being careful to be low key when she misses and make a big deal loving on her when she gets it right. Funny thing is she doesn't seem to be registering the praise. Like she's too busy to stop and be praised. But it must be making an impression on her nonetheless, right? I know we have a long way to go but I feel like we will get house trained! Oh, and she went with me for my manicure tonight. She let several ladies pet her without cringing for the first time and was a real little lady while I got my nails done. I had her in a carry pouch and she was quite happy the whole time, even when I covered her to keep stuff from getting to her while my nails were being filed. It's so cool to be able to take her places with me. |
You sound like you're in love!:D I think, too, you've got a smart one! She's going to be a socialite - an independent one.:) |
So right aver posting this we went in the bathroom. She planted her front paws right on the pad and piddled on the tile. I'm still giving her points for effort on that one. |
Thats great Denzel is about to be 2 years old in 3days and for the past month he's been piddling on the carpet and not the pad but he's coming back to his senses it seems like its a ongoing training lol but thats great maybe she will start to recognize the praise when you do it more often when she piddles on the paddle more often great job lil one |
Awesome job Tallulah! It takes a lot of patience but she'll get there. Ariel is 3 years old and she still has accidents once in a while. |
It sounds to me like Tallulah is really catching on fast and with your patience and loving guidance, she will be pad trained soon. Betty Boop goes outside and also uses pads when I don't catch her in time. There are times when she thinks just because her front feet are on the pad that all is OK. LOL. Gotta love 'em!! Your Tallulah sounds like a real doll. |
Yay! :D WooHoo! YipEee! Good Job! Maybe try a special treat in addition to the praise? |
Good for you and T! I hope I will have the same luck with my Stella when I pick her up in 10 days! Wahooooo!!! Smiles,Leigh |
Yay Tallulah! :D |
