i was in shock when i heard this story.. i went to petco today and i seen this lady with her furbaby and i notice that her furbaby had a bold spot on top of his head.so i asked the lady what happend to her furbaby and she told me that she had company over on saturday and this 5yr old girl had yanked her furbabys hair from the root.... i couldn't believe it i was in shock...i felt so sorry for the poor baby.. |
OMG what a poor little furbaby! I hate kids around Poppy because i am so nervous things like that will happen. I hope that furbaby is ok xxxx |
 oh my gosh , that is awful :( how could the owner let something like that happen , it must have been horrific for the poor baby :( if i have company over and there are children too , i take even more care of poppy than usual because she gets out of her normal routine  jill n poppy xx :aimeeyork |
Oh, my gosh! Now that is a bad mommy! She's supposed to protect her. |
That's why I try not to have kids here. A friends kid terrorized Cooper with the chuck it wand, swinging it at him, I had walked inside for drinks and came out to find Cooper running and cowering...he hates kids to this day. I hope the mother of the child disciplined her! |
How awful! I had a houseful of people yesterday and I carried Tallulah around with me the whole time. There was one teenager with severe emotional problems who likes to sneak around, and whose caregiver doesn't keep an eye on her at my house. Rather than take any chances, I had that baby plastered to my side all day. |
Wow! I have 3 kids and have had dogs always and we have loads of kids over all the time and not once has that happened. Poor baby. Kids always need to be watched around the pups, for everyone's safety. :( |
Aww, that poor baby. When we first got Khloe, I introduced her to my niece and nephews and explained to them that you must be gentle at all times. They are wild, but very gentle around her. And my niece is 2 1/2 years old, so we watch her more closely than the others. I wonder how old the child was that yanked that Furbaby's hair out. I wonder how the child's parents reacted... |
To get enough hair in hand and yank hard enough to make a visible bald spot, there had to be some screaming and yelping before the end result. Where was mama (furbaby's) when that was going on? Let's face it yorkie hair doesn't just 'release'. I can't imagine that the first couple of screams did not bring that baby's protector running. |
That poor pup!!!!!! Let's hope the pup's mom learned something from this and keeps her dog away from that child!!!!! |
If that kid was in my house and did that to my puppy I would pull a hank of hair out of the kid and see if the mother comes to life. That would be the last time that kid ever steps in my home or her stupid mother. If the dog bit the kid, she would the first to scream law suit. |

Wow! That is horrible. I'm scared to think what my first reaction would be... I'm wondering how that situation played out-was the kid corrected? I would be humiliated if my child did that to any animal...it seems so vicious especially since the child is not an infant/toddler. I hope that lil pup is ok. |
I have twin grand-daughters that are 8 months old. They both have petted Bella then try to pull her hair. So Mimi is teaching them to be "gentle, we have to love Bella very gently." My son hates it, but it's my house. Even with a big dog or any pet all kids should be taught to be gentle. |
