my fiance' said "absolutely NO dogs".....then he gave in and got me Bridget for Christmas - 9 months later....we got Greta (I think I'm done - but check back in a few months...lol)

Congrats! He is a cute little guy. My husband and I also have a chocolate. We wanted to get Sophie a sibling and found Chester at a shelter. We thought his coloring looked a little different but didn't realize he was a chocolate yorkie until I saw a post on here and saw pictures of others. Thats when we realized Chester was a chocolate.

But enjoy your new puppy!

I think you should get both, too. They will keep each other company. Just put on your athletic shoes, because you won't be sitting down anytime soon.:D

How about Hershel (like Hershey but with a twist?)

You could get both and name one choco, and one reeses :D Thats what I would do.

My BF also said no puppies...but we are going to look at a litter on the 23rd :p

You know whats so funny is The breeder named both pups Reese & Snickers !! .. She also has a lil girl named Godiva .. there were 3 chocolate pups 2 boys and a girl.

Congratulations on your new baby! I like the name Reeses (like I could hug it to pieces) and CoCo (but think CoCo is more a girl's name...but you could always get him a sister LOL). Let us know what you decide.

How cute is he! I think Reese is a good name for him. My sister has chocolate labs named Whiskey and Hersey. I looooove Godiva chocolate so I would be seriously inclined to name any chocolate colored puppy after it!

As far as name suggestion, how about "Bordeaux?" It's one of See's chocolate truffles. Also, you can refer to him as "Beau" for short. As you may know, the meaning for beau is male sweetheart or male lover. :)

My hubby's long hair chihuahua (according to papers) who the vet and several groomers have sd looks like a chocolate yorkie is officially named Cocoa Puff. She has too much hair for a lh chi.
One parent was named Hershey's kisses and the other was Reese's (something). Her name had to have something to do with chocolate.

I bought a chocolate (seems like moons ago) and got help for a name on here to :-) My breeder was and still is fantastic. My chocolate has the most incredible silk coat. I absolutely ADORE her!!! She keeps bows in her hair rather well. I'm on her wait list for another chocolate hopefully (crossing fingers) next year :-) It took me forever too..to find a wondeful breeder I was comfortable with so I know the feeling. Congrats!!

Omg the CD is a freakin Killer !! But Im taking a mini vaca so I have more time to spend with Him and plus I will have no classes either !! So I get to do nothing but take the kids to school and sit home with my current baby Lexi & my new baby(ies) ..(trying to talk my BF into getting both) :D
