Dog Strollers Okay, I had to share. I just saw this on Craigslist. Post in Treasure Coast/Florida. DOG STROLLERS???? REALLY? (EVERYWHERE) Date: 2010-10-09, 6:59PM EDT Reply to: comm-j7k28-1997976142@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?] Are you people nuts??? I love dogs but, dog strollers??? REALLY? You think dogs had strollers in the wild? they LIKE to walk! They ENJOY walking! You look like idiots walking your dog around like a baby. About as dumb as the people following their dogs around waiting to catch their dumps with their poop hoops. YOU ARE THE HUMAN, THE "MASTER". You should see yourselves lol! You are taking this animal lover stuff too far! I thought I had seen it all. What is next? Breast feesing your pup? Woooooooow... Well that wasn't a very nice post on craigs list. I can't wait to get a stroller!!! |
I want to respond, but I don't want to go down to their level...heartless!!!! |
Just have to feel sorry for the people who are so far unenlightened! There was a time I thought dressing a pup, toting them in a carrier or pushing in a stroller, spoiling them with the best of everything, and generally treating them like little human kids was .... well, silly. But I saw the light! Once you have a dog become a part of your family, you understand it all! My mom and I were talking about this the other day. You really don't understand until your heart has been truly invaded by one of these little love bugs! |
I am one of those 'not really for strollers' people. I find them unnecessary in MOST cases and do believe most dogs want to walk and the human teaches them, sometimes without even meaning to, that they "don't" etc. I can see them coming in handy when a pet has an injury and/or is old and can no longer walk, or being of great use in an airport or traveling, etc. These things I totally get and understand. And yes, Jackson is spoiled rotten, but he definitely gets to be a full on dog. However, with that said... it's NOT hurting anyone. It's YOUR business what you want to do with your dogs and I think it's rude to judge. Yes, I personally wouldn't use them unless the situations above I stated occurred, but it doesn't mean the people that do use them are stupid, and I would never take the time to post an idiotic post on craigslist that nobody is going to listen to. My dog is my family. He's my loyal best friend. My companion. He's family.... and I think it's sad that some people just can't understand that part of a dog. The human/canine relationship is an amazing one and whether you choose to use a doggy stroller or not shouldn't be the issue. It should be that we care enough about our dogs to even consider buying one. I mean, I know most people would probably think I'm crazy that I have a dog car seat but I've already been in one accident with him, and didn't want to risk his life. |
I think people complain when in truth they wish they had a dog they could take everywear |
I think the post shows that they don't care for dogs at all because they laugh at owners picking up after their dogs. Don't know why they were on the pets section if they feel this way!!! I initially felt that you shouldn't dress up a dog until little Ally came into our lives. She was our empty-nest baby and we quicly fell so deeply in love with her...she can do no wrong. She gets cold so I got her little coats and sweaters. She needed a little playmate so we adopted Tia. Ally ended up traveling at the beginning because my puppy-sitter feel thru...so I purchased a bag for her so people wouldn't know what I had. Both girls are spoiled rotten and I wouldn't have it any other way. It does wonders for our health also. This sad person is going to live a short and sad life! Oh...this got flagged soon after someone posting it. |

Dear Poster, It's obvious you have anger issues. Don't be cheap, hire a therapist. As least she/he is getting paid to listen to your useless bullc**p. Love, a yorkie who rides in style P.S. My mom has taught me how to type too! |

I have a doggie stroller for my dogs. I got it when the puppies weren't allowed to be put on the ground before they got their shots. Now I don't really use it because they love to run and walk outside. I'm saving it for my next puppy if and when I get one. |
We use ours when we go to fairs so they don't get stepped on. |
usefulness of a dog stroller i just want to clarify and explain that a dog stroller can be really useful in some situations. :D for small dogs and senior dogs or sick dogs. they still like to walk, but sometimes, they suddenly do not want to walk anymore and you can put them in the stroller and continue walking if your other dog still want to walk, or go home with the dogs in the stroller. i have seen people walk older dogs and push an empty stroller along for that exact purpose. when it rains, some dogs will refuse to walk, but maybe you still want to get out of the house with them. sometimes milu doesn't want to walk just because the ground is still wet. in some malls dogs are allowed as long as they are in a purse or a stroller. if you ever dine out with your dog, it's really nice to be able to put them in the stroller and eat at the outside area of the restaurant with them. (if you put them in your lap, they will beg for food, and i don't want to put them on the floor for safety reasons) dogs should walk around because most dogs really enjoy it, but strollers can still be really handy. strollers are really helpful for people with multiple dogs or medium size dogs. so anyways, i think strollers are very useful and not silly at all! :D |
I guess he doesn't understand that one block walk for a person is like a mile walk for a dog. For me, If I want to go somewhere with my babies without stroller, it would be faster for them to carry me then the other way around!:D |
