Hi everyone,

My name is Lauren. I am a new user to this site and would like to introduce myself!

I have a family male Yorkie named Oliver who is 13 years old....my parents dog.

&

My boyfriend has surprised me with a female Yorkie, we will call her Mixie. (Not sure on her name yet!) She has yet to come home and is just over 3 months old. I can not wait to get her!!!

I absolutely love the breed & have so much appreciation for these little amazing dogs! Oliver's health is not the greatest, and until recently, he has been really sick. It is so sad seeing this!! I have pictures of the both of them on my profile. (If they uploaded correctly) Please take a look at them.:animal-pa I can not wait to start meeting other Yorkie lovers like myself!

Aww thank you everyone!! I will def get more pictures up here! Well my circumstance with my girl is a little hectic. My boyfriend is Canadian I am American. We have had some border issues recently....and I was going to get her last Monday...but I was denied entry into Canada. (I was so incredibly upset because we have been waiting for her to be ready for almost a month and half! And mind you, I have been going to Canada for years and of course this would be the first time I am denied entry!!) Also my boyfriend travels everywhere for his career...and has been in Brazil. So! I hope that she can come to me this weekend!! I'm so anxious....the breeder has been sending pictures of her to me. And we made sure, that she is all set with everything, before crossing the border (papers, vet, rabbies, micro chipping, etc)

Keep your fingers crossed that this girl comes home to me this weekend! :)

As for Oliver...I cleaned him up today. Gave him a bath...and cleaned his teeth, and eyes. He has lost most of his hair...little on his legs and head. (So sad). He has a lot of problems wrong with him. We had a close call about three weeks ago. I wasn't in town...but my parents were so distraught and he stayed in the animal hospital for three days. Thankfully he made a recovery because when he initially was taken in, he couldn't stand or breathe. He was put on a breathing machine...He is okay but its only time from here on in. Really sad. I will get more pictures of him up. I was we had taken more when he was a puppy and while growing. He was sooooo adorable. Man the wonders of digital cameras!!

Do they have a diagnosis for Oliver?

Oliver has a leaky heart valve, Cushings disease, and kidney problems. My parents have done a lot of research themselves about his condition and actually, I am going to read about the leaky heart valve and Cushings disease now, while I am online. The vet wanted to put him down...because he was so incredibly unstable. Also, his one pupil was dilated when he went in as well. But my parents insisted on waiting the night....and he came around.

On a lighter note, here are some pictures of the girl. She has gotten so big, since my last visit with her. They grow so fast!

I'm sure you will love your new pup so much. It is just like having a baby around with these little ones. They are awesome. I'm sorry Oliver has so many problems. I bet he has had a good life. I wish you the best with both of your furkids. I love the pictures. They are priceless.

Oh Lauren - Oliver sounds like a real trooper!!! I wish you all as much enjoyment as possible during the time you have left with him and multitudes of peace for Oliver! He must know how much he is loved!

You're little girl is adorable. I bet you can't wait to get her, I would be climbing walls by now. I hope Oliver feels better. It's so sad when your baby gets older and things start going wrong. I'll keep Oliver in my prayers. Oh I have a 6 month old Yorkie named Zach, a 11 month old Shorkie named Zoe, and two Basset Hounds named Cleo and Chloe, along with 15 cats, 12 cockatails and 2 guinea pigs. Not all mine really my house mate came with a few of them.

Oh my a house full Lexi!! I love cats too. And my parents had a cockatoo and they have a grey! Love it!:) And thank you for your kinds words!!!


Update for everyone tho:

The baby girl is on her way!!!! She should be home in about an hour!!! Fingers crossed that she gets over the border alright!!!!!! *EEEEEEE* So excited!!! :)

And we have decided to name her Treble! (My boyfriend is a musician/producer...and I love my music...that is what brought us together!) We will eventually get a Bass:) Cuteness!!!
