Nice cat! A compliment, I think, Sprocket and I were out walking in the last of the light last night, it was almost cool and my VERY elderly neighbor is also sitting outside enjoying the "air" as we walk by, "nice cat, do you always walk him on a leash?" I said: "Yes sir I do" we just kept on walking, though Sprocket did lift his leg an pee all over one of the bushes near by. Sprocket IS about the size of some cats, OMG so cute, I can just see it, walking the cat. Old man can't see and was trying to be nice, I think, at least I take it that way. :animal-pa |
Aw I would have taken it as a compliment, as you said the man is very elderly. His eyesight is probably not very good and you did say Sprocket was the size of some cats. |
I used to walk my cat when I was about 10 or 11. A neighbor says to me why don't you get a dog. Very rude. I would rather have heard your dear elderly neighbor's comment...it was very cute. |
Very cute! BTW, I have a neighbor that does walk his cats on a leash! It is too funny to watch! |
That's sweet.:) |
Haha cute :) |
I agree. His eyesight is probably bad. My neighbor walks her cat also. |
I like that he piddled on the bushes. He is completely secure in his manlihood :p Peggy, Monkey & Maddie :daisy: |
A group of friends and I were out to dinner and saw an elderly gentleman walking his cat. I apparently more people are doing it these days to protect their cat's health... Cat on a leash: We'll walk you through it - USATODAY.com In your case though, I'm sure he was either mistaken or maybe he was confused and said the wrong word... Your cute pup sure doesn't look like a cat to me! |
What would have happened if your "cat" started to bark? ;) |
I love the name Sprocket:) My friend has a cat who she tried to walk to get some energy out of and he was too crazy to even walk lol! At least the neighbors intentions were good:rolleyes: |
I also think that's kind of funny. I don't think the elder meant anything mean, before I had my surgery alot of things looked funny to me also. BTW I used to walk my cat on a leash also. |
Too funny! Maybe your neighbor was just, well, being neighborly! |
My "CAT" Thanks for all the comments! And yes I do think the comment was generated from not really being able to see the dog, just being a friendly neighbor. We do not have anyone that I know of who walks their cat on a leash but the outdoor cats don't live too long as we have coyotes and other wild things, I'm afraid dogs too, that will hunt them. That's part of the reason Sprocket is NEVER allowed out by himself. Even in our back yard, which is enclosed, I watch him. Opossums are big and the TEETH OMG, Opossums they are sure bigger than my dog or any cat and fierce, stupid dog wouldn't leave the stinky old thing alone anyway, just another toy! Now I tease Sprocket, here Kitty Kitty, I think he rolls his eyes, but he comes to me. :D |
