Good deeds do pay off. Yesterday my best friend and i wear walking down to the store and we cut through the local park well thear was a woman with a teeny tiny s**te zue, she said she found it in the road and when she knocked on all the doors in a five block radiace no one answered she put out a ad in the local paper and one on craigslist in both lost and found and pets its been over a week so she figures no one is coming for the pup and i mean this little girl cant be but 6 weeks old from what the vet and groomer said. well she had the puppy at the park because she was meeting someone about her and they never showed (puppy never touched the ground) but the little thing was shivering to pieces she said she was going to go out and find a sweater but she could not one small and cheap, after all she had already spent money to take her to the vet and groomer and buy her food and a harness a stuff. I told her i would be right back my dog had some things he had grown out of so i went home and got all of Gatsby's old and too small sweaters and coats and even a snow suit and took it to her she insisted i give her my address so if the puppies owners come for her she could bring back my things, after a while i said okay. this morning i woke up and went out to check the mail and found a beautiful bouquet of flowers sitting on my porch from her i tried to take a pic but i could not get a good one ill try again after i wake up a bit. I was so touched i still just dont know what to say. i guess this proves good deeds really do pay off. |
While reading your story - I expected to hear something bad. I was happy to hear the ending. Nice way to start the morning! |
AWWWWWW.... That is sooo sweet :) You touched that womens heart with kindness and I'm sure she'll remember that for the rest of her life :) |
It really does pay to do great deeds. I just made a new best friend recently, and she has been an amazing help for me, some day I'm going to repay her HUGELY, cause she took Harley twice in the last few weeks and baby sat him (free of charge), came and helped me unpack, took me out for lunch, and was just a best friend to me and Harley during this awful move. Any ideas on something really nice I can do for her... I don't have a lot of money, so when I picked Harley up the other day, I did bring a gift basket for her boys (Dexter & Newton) (cause I knew she wouldn't accept anything for herself), but when things settle down I want to give her a really big Thank-you... Yorkie people are just so kind aren't they... |
That is soo sweet. That is such a lovely gesture; kind words and actions seem so far and few between sometimes. I'm so glad to hear about your experience. (: |
That was such a nice story. Sweet lady, too! |
I called her during my lunch(she left her number on the card) and told her how nice it was she sent me flowers and i found out that she talked to the dog warden today and our local law is 48 hours and a lost pet is yours as long as you put a ad in the paper so she decided to keep the puppy and is going to name her Mia im so happy i dont think i could get the smile off my face if i tried |
It sounds like she is going to have a nice home!:) |
What a lovely story. Maybe you could meet up for walks and set up play dates, she sounds a lovely woman and you too for giving your yorkies old clothes. Love this story :D xxx |

Good for you! We need more people like you (and that other lady) in this world. Is Gatsby okay with you giving her stuff away? |
