What a precious little face. How in the world could someone be so cruel to this precious little guy. It breaks my heart to think about that. Love seeing each new picture of him. |

Wow- that poor little guy has so much going on. I'm so glad he has you now to love and care for him. The difference in his pictures is amazing. He's obviously going to thrive with you. |
Please PM me your address... I'd love to send you a few little sweaters for your sweet baby. You've done so much for him and I'd like to contribute. Ive got a couple sweaters at home that are too small for my boys, one is pink if thats ok but it should fit him ok. Bless your heart for helping him! :) |

Oh Wow! he look so much better than the first pictures you posted! A good loving home is just what he needed. You are a saint for taking him in and giving him the love he deserves! |
Wanted to add my praises to you for taking in this little guy. You are right, it may be a rough road, but you may also be surprised to see him thrive with loving care! saying a prayer for you and Teddy! |
It is so great you are getting him all the medical attention he needs. I thought he was going to end up being older with the eye cloudiness. Nikki is 15-16 and he has nuclear sclerosis and cataracts. He does pretty well but has trouble in the dark. Nikki had all his teeth pulled and a lot of gum work to build up the bone loss. He was 14-15 when he had the major surgery and did really well. He started eating so much better afterwards. Nikki is so skinny in spite of eating plenty and no health reasons for it. I think maybe his age has something to do with staying so skinny. But your little guy seems to be gaining weight so that is great. I hope all his medical problems can be fixed and he can enjoy the rest of his life being loved and safe. You are an angel. |

Ok big question! I have never had a senior, intact male dog so I have no clue. Can someone please tell me why my little guy's "winky" pops out every time I say something to him??? My husband says its because he is a horny old man LOL! So is that it, is he like some little old perv or something? He didn't start doing it until last night. I walked over to him, called his name and he jumped up and started wagging his tail and there it was and it comes out every time now! I just can't get over it and my husband laughs at me every time I squeal because it touched my arm or something! Will neutering him fix it? I just don't know and am completely clueless here, someone please help!!! Alicia |
Aw bless him you could also sprinkle some olbas oil on his bedding and also burn it in a burner to help him this is good, I think his you know what pops out because he is excited, lol, Bless him i hope he is feeling much better soon well done you. |

alinkc - My boy does that and he's been fixed since 6 months old. I really just think they have no control over it and it's just excitement to see you and hear your voice. He's a boy! :) On another note. I was not home last night so tonight Im going to do laundry and I'll wash the puppy clothes and get them nice and clean to get them in the mail no later than this weekend! Seems my weekday nights are always hectic, but bear with me and I promise to get them in the mail. :) |
bless your kind heart! |
Just wanted to check in and see how little Teddy is doing. Hope it's going well! |

Alicia, you are my hero! What a nice story to open with on a sunday morning. I would ask your vet about neutering. The vet would need to do a full blood panel and if he is going to be neutered you may want to get his teeth cleaned. Please keep sending us pictures of this little man. Bless you....Lissette |
Rescue for Teddy Who in the world can be this mean to a helpless yorkie or any animal. My heart is broken looking at his pictures and reading about him.He will soon come around and know how much you love him. Bless your heart for caring for this baby. I had two little dogs that became blind from diabetes and they did fine, the vet told me their eyes aren't as important as there smell. God luck and please keep us posted on Teddy's progress. |
I just read this post and you are truly an angel for taking care of this precious baby. He must be feeling so secure in your loving care. Thank you for sharing your story. I hope he keeps doing so well. |
Love the updated picture - he already looks so happy!! Keep up the good work. Can't wait to read his updates to see how well he's doing. |
so glad to hear he is doing better. The pic is great |
Ditto, God Bless You, keep us posted how it turns out. |
Anything new on little Teddy? |
Alicia, yes, where are you? I'd love to see new pics of Teddy and hear how he's coming along. Please keep us posted! :) |
We are all wondering how your little one is doing. |
4 Attachment(s) Hi everyone sorry i haven't posted for a while. I'm back at school and between that and a million other things I have been busy, busy, busy! Teddy is feeling much better! He is a feisty little guy! He loves to play and run around! He runs pretty good for having LP in both legs. He is eating and drinking good and has put more weight on. He loves to be on my lap when not running around. The only problem I am having is he absolutely doesn't like my daughter(4) and son(6). He growls and tries to bite them and it hasn't gotten any better just worse. So I don't know what i'm going to do about that. Celstu1, Christina sent him a couple sweatshirts to help keep him warm. Thanks!!! Anything under 70 deg or so he is shivering like mad. The first 2 pics are in his new shirts and the 3rd is his sock sweater and hat, the 4th one he wasn't having it and threw the hat right off! I'll post more when I can. Oh, he looks SO good!!! Just love the pics...especially the last one. How adorable!! :D Thank you for taking such wonderful care of that sweet little guy...and thank you for the update and pics!!! :) |
Oh, bless his little heart. I suppose he isn't used to children. They have to be very gentle with him. He looks so sweet in his clothes. Has he gained any weight? |
He looks terrific! What a doll baby! You are surely his angel. Could you try to teach your children to quietly and slowly approach him with a treat and see if he will accept it from them? If he does, maybe you could keep working with the treats to get Teddy to see the children more favorably? I really think the quietly and slowly is key. And only when you can supervise. If that doesn't work, get the kids their own yorkie puppy! :D :D |
He is so cute! God bless you for taking him in, he looks so cute in those clothes:D |

His winky appears around you because he loves you! He's growling at your children because he wants you for himself... he's guarding/protecting you. Sounds like he may need some discipline. If he's on your lap when he does this, firmly tell him 'No' and put him gently on the floor. When the attitude stops, you can pick him up and put him on your lap again. Don't let him initiate being on your lap, you need to control that decision. Eventually he'll learn he has to behave and accept the children in order for him to have lap time. Good Luck, and Bless you for helping him.... |
