artie merlino | 09-21-2010 07:44 AM | DO'NT Let them eat Deer Pooh! I am a True Yorkie Fanatic, I have 3 of my own and I have converted every Family Member to get at least 1 Yorkie of their own. My Sister in Texas, called me last Saturday, she has 2 Yorkies a 4 yr. old male named Cookie and a 3 yr.old female named Ginger. She had walked them Monday Evening and let them off-leash @ the Golf Course, by Thursday morning Cookie was Lethergic and not Eating, only drinking alot of Water all day, she took him to the Vet. and they told her it was due to his Level 4 Luxtating Patella's that he could'nt walk anymore? By Sunday morning he was vomiting Blood, she was waiting for the Humane Society to open to take him to Emergency, by 2 pm. he had crawled into a quiet corner of their yard and Died! We were in Tears that he suffered. After all that she remembered that he was eating Deer Pooh that Night @ the Golf Course! I Lectured her for not calling me sooner and waiting until the last minute to act! Please Train your Yorkies not to Eat anything off the ground or wander off-leash unattended. This broke my Heart b/c she was under the Belief that since they are Vaccinated they are in-destructable? I always say it's better to be Safe then Sorry, she learned a valuable lesson she was devasted. |
