Confused as always Hello, I'm new at yorkie talk. Finally someone to relate to how much I love my baby. I've had peawee for a year now and I still feel like I'm new at this. My baby is very loving but can be very trying to say the least. Housebreaking is still hit and miss {alot of miss). He wants to act like a pit bull to everyone that doesn't live in his house. Even though we have a lot of difficulties I couldn't imagine my life without him. If anyone has any advise on housebreaking or his constant barking, PLEASE HELP!!! :aimeeyork |
Welcome!!! There is a lot of good information about house training and no barking in the Training Forum. Peawee is such a cute name!!! Can't wait to see pics. |
I've had pretty good results by whispering to Chloe everytime she barks that she isn't to do so and when she stops, I give her a treat. I started when she was a puppy. Housebreaking is a constant training issue. Be consistent and reward generously. They will get it. Welcome, I have two yorkies, Chloe, the obedient one and Lacey, the tiny who thinks she's a Doberman. |
