Confused!!! Wanted to know what you all think about this. I know someone who has 2 female Yorkies about 1 1/2 years old around 10 -12 lbs. They couldn't deal with them being in the house because they would chew the potty pads & the holder. So they decided to keep them outdoors. They are going to keep them outside during the winter also. I'm thinking that is crazy. My babies shiver in the house when it is chilly. What do you all think? Should a Yorkie be an outside dog 24/7 ????????? |
That is ridiculous! I love your new avatar! |
:( That is terrible! I would never leave any dog outside no matter what the size or circumstance. It gets way too cold for them to be out there for too long. Mine hsiver when they have to peepee outside and its cold. I would have to say something to her. If she doesn\'t want them because they chew things in the house, then she not even have them. She should give them away to someone who will love them uncontionally and allow them to stay warm in the house. Those poor babies. :( |
Yorkies do not have an under coat to help them stay warm like other dogs, plus just think how much they love attention. Maybe you could try to change their minds. |
That is just down right WRONG! They will freeze! Bailey is cold IN the house, I cant imagine him outside! :thumbdown |

Yorkies do not have a under coat so they will freeze out side. They are not outside dogs. |
frezzing if they are going to keep them outside cant they at least keep them in the garage...they need some sort of shelter from the cold! :( |
I have tried. She is also going to breed them. She says they are too big to be in the house. She is weird. They had the dogs in the garage when they first decided they didn\'t want them in the house so the dogs had to stay pinned up in the garage without anyone cleaning the pee & poop in the pinned up area. It smelled soooooooooooooo bad, it was awful. The bad thing is she is my neighbor & her dogs run over to our yard when they let them run & they stink soooooooooo bad & were matted up. The husband works alot of hours & he is the only one able to take care of them when he gets free time. My husband & I try to talk to them but she just won\'t budge. She tries to make excuses. She said she can\'t get rid of them because she loves them. How can she love them? It is disgusting, I get sooo mad. I told her yesterday that the Vet asked about her dogs & I told them that they are staying outside & that the nurse said "Yorkies aren\'t outside dogs" She said " I hate when people think I don\'t take care of my dogs". Suprise, Suprise, everyone thinks she isn\'t taking care of the dogs. I\'m out of things to do. I have to be careful because my husband & her husband work together & we are neighbors. It is a hard thing. |

NEVER!!!! I don\'t think any pet should ever live outside! That is so sad!!! :thumbdown Poor babies, I hope this person wakes up!!!!! |
im telling you, grab those puppies, take them from her, if you have to steal them. there are so many good people who would give them a happy home.. please, dont let it happen.... my heart goes out to them........thats just plain cruelty... |
This someone really have bees in her bonnet . |
I totally agree. They have a shed that they are to keep them in, they are trying to figure out a way to put a heater in there. I just don\'t see it. I mentioned some kind of heat thing for them to sleep on but they will chew it. They chew everything. Believe me I wouldn\'t mind calling someone for the dogs, I just know how I am I wouldn\'t be able to lie & I would have to tell her that I called & there would be a huge fight. I don\'t want to live like that & I don\'t want the dogs to live like that. Ughhhhhhhhhh, this sucks totally. Her & I kinda got into it yesterday talking about the dogs. I know my husband & I can talk to the husband about it. I will have to explain this stuff to him. He is the one that takes care of them anyway. |
It\'s time to call Yorkie Rescue. That shouldn\'t be allowed to happen. It is inhumane. |
