Time to get another Yorkie. Advice. Hi Everyone, As some of you know I lost my beloved yorkie Bubbles in February. Well many motnhs have passed and although I still miss him and think about him everyday, I think I am ready to love another baby. I adore Yorkies and would like to get another toy Yorkie which is what Bubbles was but I'd just like some advice. Bubbles died of a brain tumour age 6, but during his time with us he had MVD, urine infections and stones, a dislocated leg and skin problems. Our vet told us we had a terrible run of bad luck but obviously I am worried that I will go through all this pain again should I get another toy yorkie. Is it something toy yorkie owners have to expect or is it possible to have a healthy toy yorkie who will lead a long and healthy life? I know these sound like silly questions and I know no-one can garentee anything but I just want to know if I ma setting myself up for a fall by buying the same breed of dog. Any help would be fab and if it makes any difference I live in the UK. |
So sorry to hear about Bubbles. He will forever live in your heart. I think it's wonderful you want to have another Yorkie. When you find a Good Breeder, ask lots of questions. See if they have a history on their family. When I got Princess, her family history went back 4 generations. I was sure she had a great backround. Most Yorkies live a very long happy healthy life. They really have so much love to give. I hope you find the perfect furbaby for you. :D |
