Vaccines: where to go? Hello, So this is my dilemma: Kenzie is 6 1/2 months old by now, so I need her to get her rabies shot, but there's the vet who gave her the last puppy shot who charges $15 and there's this other vet who gave her her allergy shot and seems to have a bit more experience, he charges $30. They apply the shot in the pup's back, don't know if its the right place to do it cause people have been telling me that itd cause some kind of reaction, but some other people tell me to stay away from the hind legs cause they start to limp. I don't know what to do anymore, too much information to handle. Been told that free government vet clinics here are no good to take pets to get shots. What would you do? |
there is a mobile clinic that comes to our local pet store that i went to. My baby had all his shots there it was pretty inexpensive. |
Go where you think they can do the best job of taking care of your pup. The rabies vaccine is usually given in the right hind leg/back area. That is normal and okay. |
