Off To A Rescue
 

Well I can't stand this I am taking this furbaby tomarrow. He is terrified where he lives
Yorkshire Terrier, 4 years old at 8 pounds and that is as big as he gets. He is netured.

Well wear do I begin. I adopted him over 1 1/2 year ago. And he is wonderful and loving. However recently living has not been comfortable for him at all. As I have taken in my mother who has alzhimers and who dislikes dogs. We have had several incidents where she has tried to hurt the dog and is now kicking him out ot the way on the floor and throwing things at him occassionally. ( behavior she normally would not have) and that is not reversiable. Anyway it has come down to my mother or the dog. You can have him free of charge if you can ensure me he will live a happy life with you and your other yorkie. I have only put a dollar amount to him because many have questioned whether he was free becuase of illness. He is healthy, lots of energy. loves his long walks and rides in the car etc. He needs a good loving home . If you are interested I can send you more information on him. photos. The poor guy hides out in a bedroom under the bed. Becasue he is so afraid of her. Its so sad. I never anicipated this a year ago. The things life throw at you

oh wow... POor little guy . I am very glad that you can rescue him out of that situation ! The poster wrote, it is eiter the dog or my mother. Well, I would of chosen my dog over her :eek: The mother sounds like a handful and even violent. I feel so sorry for this little yorkie . I hope he is not traumatised too much. He is going to need lots of TLC .

I will defintaly posts pictures, I feel so bad for him he shouldn't have to live in fear.I have the time that it will take for him to settle and realize he is safe and loved. I don't give up pets once I make the decision to get them. They are children to me. Whatever obsticales there is we will over come them

What a very sad situation that both this poor pup is in as well as the caregiver of the Alzheimer's parent. I'm so happy to hear that you will be able to set in and help this poor little guy. He sure does not deserve to be abused. :(

Poor little guy. I'm glad you'll be taking him away from that environment. I do feel bad for the previous owner. It sounds like she is in a difficult situation. :(

I believe the original owner did the right thing by rehoming her little guy. Alzhimers is an awful disease. Those suffering from alzhimers have know idea what they're doing. They say and do things totlly out of their character. They even forget their loved ones.

I'm glad you are able to rescue this poor little dog. Alzhimers is a terrible disease and you never know what people in that condition are capable of doing. I'm also happy that the owner had the sense to get this dog out of that envioment before it was too late.

Elmo has arrived safe and sound he is a very frightened little boy but with love and patience. I believe he will come out of his shell and know he is safe and loved. It's so cute Andy keeps bringing him toys to share with him. He took one a little teddy bear. I will take pictures soon. Thanks for all your support

Well this has been an eventful couple days to say the least. I couldn't find this thread earlier so now I am dragging info over here now that I found it. First I want to thank you all for being you and so supportive you all Rock !

Hi I tried to find my other thread "Off To The Rescue" but just couldn't see it. My story has some weird twists today. First the hubby of the lady with the yorkie wanted the dog back and the mother put in a nursing home. It was to much of a strain not only on the yorkie but on them and their marriage. I don't know how they found one over night but they did. I have the feeling it had been in the works for sometime.

Anyway The woman called and told me what was going on, could she have Elmo back so the three of them could work on being happy again. I agreed under one condition that I bring him and come in for a coffee.

When I got back Andy whom I had the feeling wasn't feeling well this morning anyway, is sick to his stomach , Now laying in his bed almost lethargic. I'm not liking this one bit and going to take him to the vets.

I will keep you all posted PS: Elmo's home was fine and Grandma free, You could tell he loved his family and they loved him. It all worked out for the best

Wow- you are an angel. I am so happy you helped little Elmo and looked out for his best interest. The world is a better place because of people like you. This whole situation had to be draining on you and on Andy- I'm sure he is just emotionally drained. Please keep us posted- you are in my thoughts- thank you so much for helping this little guy. I'm glad it was a happy ending after all.
