Interested in your thoughts... Hey guys I'm not sure if this is the right place to talk about this but I was interested in how y'all transport your babies. I am able to take Etta to work with me every day and she goes with me everywhere. When I am driving I have her in a kennel in the seat next to me. I have noticed that she seems like she would rather be out of it to "see the world". My concern is I don't feel like she would just sit in the seat and I want her to be safe and of course I don't want to be taking my eyes off the road to watch her. So I am thinking of getting a "booster" seat for her. Have any of you had any experiences using them? Do you like them? I would like to hear what other ways your "kids" travel with you..Thanks everyone...:) |
You can find very nice "car seats", that is what they are called, some are low and others are just sit level. You can choose one that will best fit your dog. They are wonderful, safe, and let the dogs see the world ! and give you peace of mind... to drive safe. They come with a harness attached so you " hook it up" and are ready to go. You will love it ! XOXO |
Mocha uses a booster seat and loves it. It allows him to see out the window and protects him at the same time (hooked to his harness). When I first put him in he whined a while. However, now whenever we get in the car he allows me to put him in the seat, sits down, and wait for me to hook him up. He is very comfortable in it so if he wants to sleep, he just curls up inside. The one I bought is just big enough for him so when he curls up he is surrounded by 4 walls. That makes him feel secure (or so I was told). Hope this helps. |
I have a car seat booster that my boy loves and so do I. We make a good use of it ordered it from pet edge. |
I have the snoozer car seat and love it. You get a strap to tether them inso they cannot jump out although Hot Rod tries. He would rather be in my arms but I just tell him to get back into his pillow. Maggie May jumps into immediately and stays in it. She finally figured out that she can stand up on the sides and see things. This greatly help her car sickness too |
I have the pet gear car seat for my two, and they are able to see out the windows nicely...If you have airbags, you should put the seat in the back seat, because just a 5 mph fender bender would deploy the airbags, and it would be fatal to the pups, in the front seat... I have the small for 15 lbs. and under, and just added another tether, when I got Buzz... |
Micah loves riding in his booster seat and i feel that he is safer there since the seat is belted in and he is hooked to a leash or strap that comes attached to the seat |
I have the Snoozer Lookout medium sized and Jackson tolerates it pretty well. He would rather be free, but he's learned to just deal, and I know he is safe. I love it. He's 15lbs and he fits in the medium perfect and can lay down, etc. He can also still stick his head out the crack of the window. |
