Coat Transition Question My little, guy, T.J., is six months now and his coat is in transition. He is now turning silver backed, however, towards his rear end, he is still mostly black. Is this normal, or might he be "two toned? Thanks! |
1 Attachment(s) Bullet is 6 months too, and his coat is turning on his shoulders and near his tail. I've attached a photo of Bullet. I think it depends on the individual Yorkie as to how long it will take to get to their adult coat. My Rio was much more silver at 6 months old than Bullet. |

That is part of the fun of having a yorkie. It can be a couple of years until they have their adult colors. Pistol seems to be a different shade on different parts of his body every three months or so.This has slowed lately and he is over two. Makes it very interesting though. Seamed like I always had a different dog. |
