Just because a dog is AKC doesn't mean they are pure breed, there are some that are not ethical and slide under this.
AKC doesn't require DNA on Dams, I wish they would, but they don't. Only on the Studs used 3 times a year or 7 time a lifetime.
I really wish they would DNA everything.

He could stop growing or continue to grow, its all about his genetics, what is in his line. The dam who had him, could throw small 5lb puppies for a few litters, then all of a sudden she could have one thats weighs over standard, he could have one in his line or more way back that show up. Thats why you really need to research the lines, but you can never really be 100% sure, thats why breeders can't or will not guarantee the size.

My Bently is 16 lbs and I love every ounce of him.....

He is 2 1/2 years old.

If he got to 30 lbs...... which I don't think he will since he's been at 16 lbs for quite awhile now I'd love all 30 lbs..........

Maybe it's a Bently thing

Ahhh:hearts33: I love this..so true..
I have seen and loved all sizes of yorkies rangeing from 3 pounds to 18 pounds..never seen one I do not love yet.

As stated it all depends on his line. I have one boy that throws some pretty large pups and by 4 or 5 months they are usually 5 pounds, but the pretty much slow down and maybe will put on another pound and that's it.

As stated above AKC registration does not guarantee purebred status. There are unscrupulous breeders. However, that is the beauty of the AKC if you have any question on your pup, you can request DNA on parents listed.

Our Mylo is a big boy too and at 7 1/2 months he weighs in at almost 10 lbs.... I started the 'Tea Pot' group b/c our Maxie isn't a tiny either with his 10 lbs. of pure love <3
