Carol looks like she is feeling better this visit |
I've read a couple of your posts and have to restate the obvious... you're an amazing person, and are making such a world of difference to Nikki and his mom!!! I was just wondering because I don't recall reading, does she have a chance of coming out of the nursing home, or is this a permanent arrangement? |

- I met Carol last August at the senior apts my Dad (RIP) was living at. I saw her sitting with a yorkie in the lobby one day and started a conversation. She had gotten Nikki from a rescue 2 years earlier. She was in bad financial straits so I took over Nikki's financial needs. Carol had a stroke in February and I told her I would take Nikki until she could hopefully recover enough to take him back. She had been estranged from her kids but we had to notify them when she had the stroke. The dtr moved her by her about 90 minutes from me. Now her kids don't visit and she so wants to get back here. I don't think she will ever be able to live on her own again so I try and take Nikki out every 2 weeks to see her. |
Thank you Patti for the update, I really like the picture of Carol kissing the top of Nikki's little head it is very sweet. Carol does look better in these pictures. You truly are a special person, both Carol and Nikki are lucky to have you in their lives. |

Patti, great pictures and thanks for sharing. I remember the last few months of my Mom's life how happy she was to see Maxine. Towards the end, they would not allow Maxine in the room so we had to sneek her in. You are one fine lady. |

I too have my day changed for the better everytime I see the posts and updates on Carol and her baby. Bless your heart darlin for making this possible for them. How wonderful it must be to have someone in their life such as you! Where do you live, cuz I wanna move closer...... LOL There truly is a special place for you in this world. Bless your heart! |
Ahhhh Patti! I love seeing pictures of yours and Nikki's visit with Carol. They always give me warm fuzzies! I've said it before and I'll say it again...you are an angel here on earth and Carol and Nikki are so blessed that you came into their lives. God must have sent you to rescue them both! |
