my hubby brought on of the girls to work with him yesterday. He works at a barn. He left the car running with the air on and unlocked. He stepped outside the car to talk to the Vet about one of his horses and our darling baby girl stepped on the LOCK BUTTON!!!! and locked herself in the car. Hubby was yelling at her to open the door...like she was really going to open it. Thank goodness the air was on! He called ONStar , chevy assistant and they unlocked the car via satelite...Felicity should do a commercial for them....too funny but scary at the same time.

That's an incredible story! And it sure would make an unbelievable commercial. I can imagine watching that on tv and saying "yeah right....like that would ever happen."

This reminds me of my past yorkie Ember. We went to the grocery store, (fortunately it was winter time, so didn't have to worry about the heat) and when I went to put something in the trunk after I had unlocked the car Ember stepped on the lock and locked up the car. I had to call the local police to come and open the door. after much work he was able to unlocked it and while was leaving, Ember stepped on the lock again and locked it up yet again. It was not funny at the time but as I think of it now I can smile. Good thing the cop was a dog person!

Thank God the air was on. What happened to your husband was an accident but you wouldn't believe how many stupid people leave their pets in cars for long periods of time.

OMG! That's a great story. You need to send an email to OnStar right now and tell them your story. It would make a great commercial!

I did write a big Thank You to Onstar! Felicity, my girl that was in the car, is expecting puppies in less than 2 weeks also. He brought her to work to have her xrayed for a puppy count...we are expecting three furbabies!!! we are very excited and hoping for a quick, healthy whelp:)

Too funny that the same thing happened to you, practically . Our furbabies are just like kids!

So glad your baby is ok. You must have been so scared. Aw with babies in her belly also. Poor thing. Good thing he thought to call on star. I would have thrown a brick through the window :rolleyes:

Happy all is well now. Good luck with your babies too. Please post pictures. Love those babies!!! :D

That's hysterical! I'm so glad that she's okay and that your hubby didn't have a heart attack but OMGoodness! I'd have been panicking like CRAZY!

Wow, that is crazy! I am always worried my kids are going to do the same thing.
