Are knotted rope toys ok? like this I can't remember if they can get little strings off of them and they become an intestine block concern. |
No, they are not recommended for that reason. From what I've heard anyway... |
Mine love knotted rope toys but when I buy them I cut the fringed ends short. I also monitor them when I pick up toys and when they get old I replace them...they can take a lot of punishment and several washings before they give out. The only problem I've ever had was when I bought some (new) at the flea market in Florida at a little pet supply shop and after they chewed on them for a little while they all started throwing up. I figured they were either cheap imports that had something in them or they had something on them from sitting in the open flea market so I threw them away and the pukies stopped. |
I threw mine out because I heard they can be dangerous if the string is digested- could cause a blockage. |
I would never use them, not safe |
I think they are fine if they are never left alone with them. I have never had any issues and have had rope toys for years. |
Fynnlie LOVES his rope toy. It's the only thing that saves my fingers from being gnawed to pieces. |
