Do I keep harness on all the time? I recently received a new harness for my puppy. It is somewhat of a hassel to put it on each time I want to take my baby out. Is it OK to leave it on all the time? I removed his collar. He is biting on the harness' side buckel when he is not playing. Advice? |
No Your pup will get bad mats in all the places the harness rubs. I know it is a hassle. |
I did think so, but I thought I'd ask. Thanks |

Izzy didnt like the harnest at first but after putting on and taking off she got use to it and know she doeas great... Just like with grooming... the more you do it the more they'll get used to it :) |
As soon as Beamer sees me get the harness he gets excited as he knows he is going for a walk - unfortunately it is only to the end of the street. |
Sometimes I'll keep Jackson's harness on for long periods of time. If I know we're going to be going in/out often during the day, I'll just leave it on for a few hours. I got him a Puppia so it's a soft vest type harness that seems comfortable and doesn't bother him. But in general, I try to take it off. He easily lets me put it on him now, and even lifts his little leg up to put his paw through, lol! |
We've been keeping Lucy's on regularly since we moved to our new house with no fence. She is terribly matted where the harness goes around her front legs. Fence will be completed tomorrow and Good-bye constant harness! Yay! |
