diddy chewed on his sutures i brought diddy to get neutered on monday. today i came home from work and found that he ripped open two out of the three sutures, exposing his insides. he's a active little one, hehe. apparently, his e-collar was two small and he was able to get to them. i brought him to the vet's office. they told me that they have to re-suture the two incisions. they asked me to leave him overnight because they cannot perform the surgery till later tonight. i'm worried about him. i hope he'll be ok. |
Awww :( My thoughts are with your little Diddy - let us know how it goes for him with the vet! |
My thoughts and prayers are with you and Diddy. Please keep us posted. |
 Poor Diddy! We pray he will be OK ... please keep us updated. |
Diddy has surely been busy but I am sure he will be ok. Keep us posted on his progress. :aimeeyork |
good news. the vet's office called and left a message at 6:30 pm to let me know that diddy is fine, his incisions were re-stitched, and a bigger e-collar was placed on him. thank goodness. i can't wait to pick him up first thing tomorrow morning. thanks everyone for all you support. |
Another thing that works really well is to buy a baby onesie (a one piece baby t-shirt that has snaps at the crotch) you can cut a hole in it for your pupsters tail and put them in that after surgery. That way they can't get at the stitches. I learned this a few years ago from some maltese people. |
That is great news! I hope this time Diddy's recovery goes off without a hitch! :D |
3 Attachment(s) just wanted to let you know that diddy is back. he is his usual energetic self and back to normal. thanks again for all your support. here is a picture of him back in november and today. hugs and kisses, liza and diddy |
