Oh the looks you get when you take a yorkie in a restuarant...
 

Well I was going to leave work and pick up some car side to go from 54th Street. I decide since it's delivered to the car i would take Sadie with me since she was at daycare and saw the vet at work today. So i get to the place i thought it was, and realized that i forgot this restuarant was relocated. so i drove back to it's new location and it's in this shopping plaza. i couldn't find the carry out parking and it was all one way streets so i finally just found a spot nearby to park and had to go in myself. well i was not about to leave my most prized possession and love in the world in a hot black car alone and i didn't have either of my kwigy-bos in the car with me...so i scoop her up and take her inside with me. i walk in and say hey, just here for a carry out and i can't leave her in that heat. 100 degrees in MO right now. and they were ok with that since i stayed by the door. then the manager (a man) walks up and says "i can't have that dog in here" i say i'm gettin carry out real quick and he's like well that's ok then...so on my way out with our food i walk past a bunch of snotty blondes in dresses and heels...i overhear one say "that is just hideous"...about Sadie....i have never in all her life heard any person call that beautiful dog hideous...i was so mad. i almost blurted out, NO your face is what's hideous lady...but i walked on and left and went back to work....SOME PEOPLE:mad:

i don't think it's wrong when i can't find their carry out parking spaces to bring a tiny dog inside for a bit like that. it's far better than her suffering a heat stroke or worse my car window getting busted out so some a hole can snatch her up and sell her later...:( so i think i did the best thing i could and don't care what they think :p

I would have done the same. And who cares what that nasty woman says? It's not like you are ever going to see her again any way. It's painfully obvious that some people just don't have discriminating tastes :rolleyes:

I completely understand your situation and understand perfectly why you took Sadie in. I think it was "hideous" for those snooty women to say that too.
I can also understand the manager's side. If a restaurant inspector had walked in while Sadie was in the restaurant he could have faced a stiff fine for having a dog in the restaurant.

But, I also, would never have left her in a car on a hot day - or even a cold day to risk getting stolen, so I do understand where you are coming from.

I don't see that you had any other choice. Don't let the snobs get to you. She probably just said it to impress her friends.

Oh you're better than me..she would have gotten the look of death! ....and you most certainly did the right thing by taking her in with you.

Well congratulations on keeping your cool because I would not have. Most people, and I do mean most people would of come up to you and said oh my gosh how cute - but there's always that one snooty b@&*ch. You obviously showed who had more class.

Shoulda just stopped dead in your tracks and said "omg, I cannot believe you would say that about your friend. I think she looks just fine and she can't help it if she has to go out in public with her face looking like that. How awful of you to point that out". then breeze by, thus making the assumption that of course they were not speaking of your lovely Sadie but she had been speaking of something on the face of one of the other females in her group.

hideous huhh? well by the look of your clothing style and choice of friends i can see that you wouldn't know high class and beautiful if it smacked you on your walmart shoes :) hmmpphhh the nerve of some people. Sadie's far more beautiful and sophisticated than that lady. Sadie was far more polite in public than her too..she didn't make a peep and just sat with her paws on mommy's shoulder and waited. good little baby.
