My new yorkie Hello All, I'm new to this forum and having a yorkie who is 12 weeks, but I do own a bichon-poo named Bailey who's now 3 for 2 1/2 years. Well here's the skinny and maybe you can give me some advice. When I brought my new baby Couture home two weeks ago Bailey was so excited to see a new puppy and the meet and greet went Great. Since then Bailey has started to behave very differently. He has started to ignore my commands  and has been very needy. Now since we've had our new addition I've been giving Bailey more attention and he has even moved into our room at night. Do you have any tips that could help out thanks? |
Welcome and congratulations. I would just give Bailey a little more time to adjust to not being an only baby. I have 4 and they all adjusted and my 3 females love each other now. |

oh ok thats cool! i was interested in her brother (the blonde yorkie)....but then i realized they live too far. :( |
Hi and welcome to YT. I have had my pup for 7 weeks now and my older dog (shes 13) is still adjusting. At first my older dog wouldnt even sit in the same room as the pup but things are slowly getting better, she too is very needy. You just have to give them time and make sure your older dog gets plenty of attention so they dont feel pushed out or replaced. Make sure you always greet the older dog first when you come home and feed them first... dont worry it will take time but they do come round in the end. |
