This is why I bought my baby & why I love him so much! So Harley was bought to fill a huge void in my life, and to help cheer me up (currently dealing with anxiety issues). Well last night I had a minor breakdown and was extremely upset before I went to bed. So couldn't sleep and decided to go plop myself on the floor in Harley's room. Mid bawling fit, Harley leaps on my lap with a toy in his mouth wags it in my face, drops it, and proceeds to lick my face, and all my tears, until I couldn't stop laughing. What a good boy! It's amazing the type of medicine these little ones provide! I must also add that YT is amazing medicine too. :) So YTers what great work have your babies done for you? |
Thats such a lovely story :) What a wonderful caring little yorkie you have... you boh must have a great bond between you. I hope he can manage to keep that smile upon your face :D Poppy sends some puppy kisses too :D xxx |
Yorkies are definitely the best medicine:) |
I'm sorry to hear that you have problems but the best medicine is right there. Puppy kisses are the best! Well... a Yorkie, Mitzi (R.I.P.), was the most important reason why I married my husband. He had her when I met him and he raised her from a puppy and took care of her all by himself so I thought if a man has the self esteem and the passion to love and to care for such a tiny dog he can't be all that bad... :) |
It's so true, they really make you feel better you're feeling blue, my little ones bring me so much comfort and happiness. |
So sorry to hear you are having a rough time. But you are right...yorkies are the best medicine! Nothing like puppy sugars. :) |
My precious little puppy unknowingly helped me through the loss of Crystal and Spike, beloved dogs that were tragically hit and killed at the SAME TIME :rbyorkie:. The void in my home and my heart was immeasurable. I got Brooklyn and she has been a lifesaver by just being here. I love her to pieces and she makes me smile every single day. I'm glad Harley has brought you such comfort. |
i got Gatsby so i wasn't so alone when i moved away from home and he is the only one who is always there for me |
I used to have terrible migraines before I got Penni (my first Yorkie). They stopped not long after I got her. Yorkies are "good medicine":) |
I bought Taycie to feel that void in my life.. Having a yorkie or any pet brings so much joy into your life, once having them there is no way you can do with out. I live alone and wanted to feel like I was needed and Taycie has done that for me. she has feeled that empty hole and now I have someone to talk to besides myself! I completly understand! I love my little girl! She is the best:) |
I'm sorry you are dealing with some issues, but our furry animals really are therapy. When crazy things are being done by human beings I say to people at work "that is why my family has so many animals" they are truly lovable creatures that give love unconditionally, what a great story and the best medicine is Harley's lovable licks. I always hear people complain about cats, but truthfully they are not dogs, but my cats always come up to me purring boring their head into me - and this is even AFTER they've been fed. When I come home from work they come out of nowhere and greet me. You're in a great place with your furry buddy, stay strong, and give him a big hug:animal-pa:) |

I completely understand. I also suffer from anxiety and Milo has helped so much. He has brought so much positive energy to my house. I can't imagine life without him now!! |
Thanks so much everyone... Reading everyones thoughts has been great. A lot of people thought I was nuts for buying Harley because dogs aren't cheap, and most of my anxiety branches from finances. But honestly I have no clue what I would have done without him for the last 9 months. |
This is a great reason why Harley should sleep with you! |

Matt's a fidgeter and kicker, I honestly don't think Harley would stand a chance wtih him (only 3lbs). Me on the other hand.... :P |
I know exactly what you mean... my little girl Misha really is amazing in so many ways! Especially in the last little while. I'm 36 weeks pregnant and extremely stressed out with a ton of things right now. There is nothing like a big kiss and a nice long walk with my girl to cheer me up and calm me down! She's like my guardian angel lately!!! :littleang |
