My new puppy!! 1 Attachment(s) Hi!!~ today i meet with the breeder and finally she gave me the thumb up to take my puppy home!! Hes a healthy puppy. We are still thinking about names so any suggestions will help! I would like to know how didi you other dogs do when you introduced a new puppy.. because bella doesnt like to much. She runs away from him all the time and doesnt even want to be in the same bed where he is. Is this normal???? is she jealous??? I know that the addition was going to be a little bit hard for her because she was the baby and now there is another baby. But I hope that she starts liking him!. Another question is how do you do it with 2 dogs and 2 different types of food???? The new puppy is havinf soft food and bella eats hard adult food. It hard to put his food down because bella will try to eat it! I havev to take him away from her so he can eat. I was thinking that later on when the puppy is able to eat hard puppy food could bella eat that too?? or if i have both foods down then they will eat from the other one. How didi you do it???? Bella used to have food availbale all the time so i dont wanna change that or should i???? can Someone with this problem help me???? thank youuuuu |
Yay! Congrats! I like the name Brodi....Bella and Brodi. |
Lil Bit wouldn't have anything to do with Beamer when I got him. I just left them to their own devices and they made friends in their own good time. There was no fighting or anything, Lil Bit just ignored Beamer. Except if Bruce, my husband, had been out and when he comes back in the house Lil Bit always runs to him - she is his baby, but Beamer showed a little jealousy then and there was some growling. But they get on fine now. Just takes a little time sometimes. Lil Bit had one kind of food she had been on for several years, but for Beamer I bought the food his breeder had been feeding him as I didn't want to change his food drastically. I found Lil Bit eating his food one day and Beamer eating Lil Bit's!!! (Guess the other's food is always better :D ). Now they both eat the same food. But Beamer was a day short of a year old when I got him, so dry food was fine. As for names, how about some pics, so we can figure out what name suits him? |
Aww congratulations! What an adorable pup:) you should post more pics so we can help with names. |
Congrats Congrats on the new pup!! From what I can see in the picture he is cute. Don't worry about him and Bella theyll warm up to each other! It just takes some time. I brought home a new yorkie pup about a month ago. When her and my other dog Kami met, Kami acted the same way, but now they're getting to be friends: running and playing together, its cute. Its funny cause whenever I call Kelsey Kami comes....she's a bit jealous. But its cute. When Kelsey is around I just take up Kami's food, I put it on the counter. Kelsey eats in my room where her crate, and all her things are. But I plan to eventually have them on the same food. As for a name for your little one, how about Rory or Baxter. Congrats again, you must be so excited!:D |

OMG so so sooooo cute. Congratulations xxx |
Congratulations on your new pup. Yes its normal for your origional dogs to get jelous when you bring a new dog home, my cross Jess is very jelous of my pup but things are slowly starting to get better.. it just takes time. I would suggest feeding the pup in a different room for the time being. |
