Is This Place Legit? Here is a link for a group of breeders in WV that have a building that they sell puppies at every weekend. Has anyone heard anything about them? http://westvirginiapuppy.com/ Kim |
I'm not sure what this place is, but it isn't good! Are they brokers, puppy millers, a group of BYB'rs? It doesn't matter, please look further for your puppy! Wow, they have a lot of breeds and a LOT of puppies available. Most are mixed breeds, not pure breeds. And.....they offer a discount on males over 10 weeks old?!?! :( These little ones shouldn't be leaving their momma's until at least 12 weeks old! There are lots of good threads and links in the YT library and the Breeder section to help you find a good, reputable breeder. Please check those out before you do any more searching. You'll want to be sure to visit the breeder's home and see the puppy's parents and ask lots of questions, not buy them in a store like this one. A good breeder will also have a lot of questions for you - they won't place their pups with just anyone. Good luck! |
GOOD GRIEF!! Can you say P-U-P-P-Y M-I-L-L???? another person preying on the uninformed buyer! |
RUN!!!!!! Go to YTCA.org to search for a reputable breeder in your area. These puppies (sadly) are bound to be unhealthy and just poorly bred:( |
I would run away from these breeders as fast as I could! No way would I purchase anything from them, especially a puppy! |
I didnt even bother to look at the link.. They have a place where they sell puppies every weekend? How many dogs do you think they have if they are able to sell puppies every single weekend? RUN LIKE THE WIND! |
That is what I thought. This supposed to be a group of family breeders that came together to sell puppies, but I saw that they were selling babies under 12 weeks old. All the breeders I have found with puppies are breeding for tiny, tiny dogs, like around 3-4 lbs. I am looking for a female Yorkie on the larger side. |
When I was looking for a breeder I googled Yorkshire terriers in my area, and found a directory site. By process of elimination I ended up calling two of them. I took the two registered breeders that had websites... called them both, and made my decision within two minutes of talking to my breeder. You'll know when you've found a good breeder, and you wont even have to ask if it's legit... mind you I think it's still a good idea to ask. Good luck Btw... RUN from these people |
Good grief .... puppy mill. If they don't even know how to spell "terrier," you can bet they know absolutely nothing about the multitude of breeds that they have, just throwing everything and anything together to make money. |
Wow- that site doesn't even try to be legitimate. 3/4 puggles WTF? Beagliers Terri poos. Why can't they just say mutts? |
Here's review of them on Yorkietalk:http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...lls-place.html Just like so many other reviews a new member posts on Yorkietalk and defends the place, but only posts on that thread. So we may be hearing from someone who adores the place and recommends it highly. Here's another site that gives a review and the writer advised: Quote:

I noticed the person defending only made the one post on that date and according to profile the last activity was that same day. See someone else also bought from that place and had over $600 in vet bills at time of posting as the dog had kennel cough.:( |
WOW these people are crazy!!! RUN!!!! |
Make like a tree and LEAVE. You do not want that. Run as far and as fast as you can. PuppyMills are nasty, nasty places. If you do go there, make signs with pictures and tell those people you\'re on to them! |
Sad.:( I can honestly say I\'ve never seen anything quite like that and I hope I never do in person. |
