BonBon | 08-05-2010 05:49 AM | Pippin 'quacks' me up 4 Attachment(s) It's been two weeks since Pippin joined the family! She's curious...She's reckless...She's fearless...I'm exhausted!
Her little voice sounds like a baby duck so she 'quacks' instead of barking. What she thinks of as her growls now sound a lot like a tiny ewok. :p Since she loves to 'talk', I'm always entertained by the sounds she comes up with. :D She loves to give orders to me and the other pups, and isn't afraid to say when she wants something.
She's now 12 1/2 weeks and a weighs a little less than 1 1/2 pounds, although she's gained several ounces. She eats all the time and there's been no hypoglycemia scares. I've quit giving her Nutrical completely.
Pippin switched her food to Acana all on her own! She tried a piece of Acana a couple of days after she first arrived but she couldn't chew it - I free feed my others so the Acana is always out and available to them. A couple of days later she tried another piece and crunched it up like a big girl (it took her a couple of minutes, but she did it). :) After that, she wouldn't have anything to do with the Puppy Chow. I wasn't even going to try switching her for a long while because I didn't want to upset her system, but she had no problems with the transition thank God.
She wants to play with the others so badly, but I think she was taken from her litter so young that she doesn't know how. She's learning fast though, and will soon be terrorizing us all. :D
Here's a few pictures from the last few days with Pippin. :) Attachment 323588 A little quiet time... Attachment 323591 She loves to sleep on her back and I love to look at her tummy! Attachment 323589 Ready to play? Attachment 323590 You taste good, mommy. |
