Recalls I am very concerned about all of the recent recalls. Merrick had another recall today with the possible salmonella problem. It make me wonder what to feed all three of my dogs (only one is a yorkie). Cooking for them is not an option at this time. What does everyone else think? My yorkie eats Blue Buffalo for small breed puppies and my other two ( minature schnauzer and a Lab mix rescue) are eating Blue Wilderness Limited protein. It seems like every day there is a new recall.:animal36 |
Awe - that's exactly why I make homemade food. We feed homemade raw with human grade ingredients - with lean hamburger, rice, cottage cheese, eggs and a vegetable. I make up several batches at a time and freeze. It works for us and is safe. good luck!! |
Honestly, I could never recommend any dog food and I'll attach why. I've never fed dog food in over 50 years of having dogs. I'll attach some reasons I would never gamble with my "kids" lives. Go! and Now! from Petcurean Pet Nutrition. Great Products...grain free --- no rendered meat or oils. Acana Pacifica must taste good as dogs scarf that up, but the Go! and the Now! are really the higher quality product. Particularly great for those dogs with allergies. The small breed formula really does help reduce tarter (noticeably), etc. |
