More than one owner Would it confuse a Yorkie of 9 weeks old still in training being brought into a new environment after having leaving one she has been in for 3 week with 2 owners to move in with yet 2 different new owners and what should the process be for the Yorkie if it is to cause confusion for her? |
I wouldn't worry... she will adjust very quickly :) She is very young... |
It would be a set back because She would have to get use to a new home etc. Also the new people would have to train Her the exact way You do or that will be confusing. All in all I would say yes this would be a big set back because of the age of the pup etc . I train golden retrievers and At a year old They would be ready for a new placement. |
We got Bella at 8 months, we were her 3rd home after leaving the breeder. She was rehomed with us after a family tragedy and her 2nd home had children too young for such a small Yorkie. Bella did very well adjusting to our home. We gave her LOTS of love and attention and followed closely what the previous owners had done to bathe, potty train, crate at night, etc. We even used the same words, etc. After about 2 hours in our home she seemed comfortable. She did have some minor setbacks in potty training but with patience, praise, treats, and LOTS of enthusiasm we made it through. We have had her for over 1 year now and she is a happy, well adjusted, 100% potty trained WONDERFUL young lady. We love her to pieces and can't imagine life without her. |
My Morkie Boomer was with me the first two weeks I had him.... Then my sister took him because originally he belonged to her. After about a month he came back with me because my sister had a hard time with a puppy and a 6 year old boy. Boomer did just fine each time... :) I think yours will do fine since he's still really young. |
