HELP!!!I have 2 yorkies & they keep fighting!!! My two yorkies keep fighting & fighting bad!! Peanut is 1 1/2 & Toby is 1 yr old and they are both males neither one is neutered. They are fighting more & more. They can't be in the same room. The younger one begins to growl at the other and then they start fighting. It ends with one of them pinned on the floor. I'm noticing bit marks on their eyes & legs. What do I do & How can I stop this? HELPPPP!!!!!!!!!!! |
Welcome to YT. I'm sorry you had to seek us out for such a horrible situation. I do have some questions: Are they exercised? How long have they lived together? Have you worked on basic obedience with them? Sometimes a dogs aggression is caused by testosterone. There may be a female in heat near you, and by near it can be miles away, and they are fighting each other over her. I would get them neutered ASAP and start a strict schedule with them. Schedule feeding time, play time, and I'd seek the advice of a seasoned trainer. I really hope this is something you and your little guys can overcome. |
fighting You will need to keep them separated from each other as much as possible. The problem is probably because they are both not fixed. Last week I had 3 not neutered male yorkies, The one fought with all of the not neutered males all of the time. I had to keep him in a Ex pen or he would fight. If you are planning on getting then fixed it should stop after they are neutered. Hang in there. Brenda:animal36 |
Are you planning on having them neutered? That should definitely help with your problem. Until then, I don't have any advice. We are a house of girls here. :) |
neuter them both. get them into a professional and licensed training program and hope that they can be worked with. meanwhile keep them seperated so no one goes to the ER |

Agree with the above post....when they are neutered the problem should diminish significantly. I also agree that some training may be in order. Good Luck. |
