Oh for a chip or collar |
That's awful. But how could this have been mistaken  |
What a shame, someone dropped the ball on that one:thumbdown |
I guess shelter workers that don't know the difference between a domesticated dog and a coyote.... shame |
WOW! they even consulted a wild life expert... |
hmm, I'll have to go back and re-read it. I thought they had only called the expert for guidance on disposition. I didn't think the expert had actually seen the animal. I think the picture was taken by the officer on the way to the wild. I just wonder what the chances a lone domesticated dog has in the wild, if it will be able to pack up with any wolves or coyotes? |
How sad :( I hope they are able to find her... |
UNREAL !:( That poor dog must be scared to death and I hope he finds someone who can tell the difference between a dog and a coyote - maybe the news coverage in that area will help ? I didn't carefully read the article (getting ready for work) but was the place they released him close to where his family lives ? That's truly sad for all involved. |
Wow, if they can mistake a Shiba Inu for a coyote they'd probably mistake a Yorkie for a cat or even worse...a rodent! Yikes! I truly feel for the woman, and I hope her dog is found and returned to her and the shelter hires a new expert...one that has experience in identifying a domesticated dog and a wild animal. Sheesh! |
WOW what a crazy story, unreal!! How sad :( |
Very sad :( :( |
