Grandparents
 
So Alex and our Border Collie have grandparents. They know who grandma and grandpa are. Plus, they love going over to visit. Are we just crazy or this normal? :rolleyes:

yes this is extremely normal :) poppy has mummy , daddy , nanna , grandad ,and 2 sisters , :) all our own family of course , he he , love jill n poppy xx :aimeeyork

I Hope it's normal. Because Pistol has a Mommy, a Daddy, a Big brother,2 Big Sisters, a Gaga, a Pap Pap and his favorite Auntie. He loves to visit all of them as only his Mommy, Daddy, and Big brother live with him. He loves to go visit his sisters. If this is not normal then I guess we are an abby normal family.

I am far from normal!:D My Gracie goes nuts if I just say the word "grandma"...she then goes to the door looking for her!:p

Callie knows who her grandpy and grammy are :D Callie even has a tank top that has I heart my grandma all over it. I live with my grandparents so she also has great grandparents.

If you're nuts..then you're not alone. Cause Pasquale has a Nonno and a Nonna (italian for grandpa and grandma). As soon as i say "want to go see Nonno?" He races to the door and waits for his harness to be put on!!

He loves Nonno's house..theres a huge yard to run around in AND Nonno sneaks him food under the table LoL

Jackson LOVES my parents. He also loves my stepparents and my grandparents, LOL. He knows everyone's names, it's just too cute. Also, my mom is also "mom" to him, as is my dad. I think because I call them that all the time, that's how he associates them, I've never used the actual phrase granddad, etc. My grandma calls Jackson her granddog, lol. He also adores my brother Camron and sister Emma.

My father is "grandpa" to my doggies. :p They love their grandpa as much as they do me.

Max met my brothers last summer when they visited from Chicago. He gets really excited if I ask him if he wants to see his uncles again.

tooo hysterical! It is so normal! Kasha has Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Amanda & Uncle Cody(who's a dog) PLUS Great Aunts, Uncles & Great Grandparents on once side. Plus she has Bubbe (Yiddish word for Grandma) and Tante(Auntie in Yiddish) plus her Cousin Frosty plus Aunts, Uncles and Cousins on the other. She knows when we say Bubbe she's going to be spoiled and gets excited. She runs for her Sherpa bag when we say Grandma&Grandpa since they live most of the year in NY.


I think it's great for our Furbabies to have family like this. Much better than just being a dog.

I wholeheartedly agree. Kaji has all sorts of family. My parents are his grandparents, and they proudly show off their grandbaby. Everyone back in the little town of Sahuayo, Michoacan met Kaji when my parents were visiting their parents not long ago. He's a famous dog in Mex. :)

Here at home he is learning everyone by name. His uncles Ed and MJ, and his grandparents who I just call Mami and Papi (mom and dad). He will give each a high five on command. :D

I think its normal my dogs have me and aunt Tammy(my best friend) then they have Marsha and Kodi (my brother and sister) those three live in our house. then they have Grandma and Ray (my grandmother and her boyfriend) and grand-mom and granddad (my mother and step-father) my whole family loves my dogs so much in fact that he was in my parents wedding.

Yep!! It's normal, at least in our world it is. Patrick and I are Nonnie & Papa to Jack the Westie, Miley [the part Lab & God knows the rest because we don't], Baby [the Shih Tzu Rescue], Bella [small Terrier Rescue], Missy [the Border Collie], Trixie [Rescued breeder dog who was bred every time she came into heat ... grrrr] and Parker [Rescue who looks part Malmute? with blue eye and brown eye]. They are all Grandpups to us and are always happy to see us. Actually tiny little Toto is the only Yorkie in the bunch and the little peanut looks like she is in the land of giants when they are all together. My grown son actually refers to Toto as his little sister!! ;) So .... we are crazy and raised crazy, dog loving kids .... :thumbup::thumbup:.

Good! I am glad to hear it is normal. With looking for a new pup, my parents were just as excited to get him as I was. Now that we have him, my parents are doting grandparents. They show off his pictures as much as they can! Lol. This morning when I talked to them on the phone, they said to give their grandkids hugs and kisses. Too Cute!!!

I have a Maltese Isabelle that I am her grandma! And she knows it when I come. And Mia knows her brothers sisters Mommy Daddy and Uncle Keith. They know and are very bright! Mia has something special she does with each family member.
