Sneaking him in... So after having Alex for 10 years, I still haven't really tried to sneak him any where with me. I am so afraid to get caught, kicked out or yelled at. Yes, I am a scaredy cat. Do you all have any suggestions on how to bring my little boy with me wherever I go?? Thanks! :aimeeyork |
:D when poppy was really tiny , i snook her in asda in my coat , :) i dont think i would get away with that now , :) she has grown somewhat , love jill n poppy xx :aimeeyork |
The only place I have snuck my gang into has been a few hotels...only because the hotels that were pet friendly back in the day were dives, and no way my yorkies or I was staying there!:D |
If your yorkie is small enough for a Purse Bag they make some for doggies. Vented panels and all. When I travel, I put him in that and he comes into restaurants with me, but he is also very quiet too in his bag. Haven't got caught out yet |
I have a purse bag and my baby goes nearly everywhere with me. I take her to Wal-Mart Target, the mall, clothing stores, and even logans and Texas roadhouse. Some see her and some don't but they haven't made us leave yet (fingers crossed) ;-) |
Yeah I am scared of getting yelled at. But my sister has taken bella to the malll in a cute purse and she was great!! You get alot of attention specially with kids haha. |
I've only brought Sakura in to Barnes and Nobles on the sly. :D It was a quick run into there and the only two people who noticed I had her in her bag I knew them. But I'm too much of a chicken to try much else. :p I love shopping at the little antique stores in old town because they let me bring her in. |
I have brought Couver almost everywhere. The only places I don't try to sneak him are courthouses and other places where they scan your bags. He has been to: -Restaurants -Bars -Pubs -Strippers ;) -Stores -Movies Anywhere I have been, Couver has gone with me. I am trying to train Khloe to ride in the bag with Couver so they both can go. They might get a bit heavy, but I figure it will be good for short trips when I need to run in somewhere. Basically I use positive reinforcement when it comes to bag training. I give Couver a treat after a trip for staying quite. During longer trips, I will sneak him a treat in his bag occasionally. I would suggest being patient and training him to the bag slowly by taking him into pet friendly places and allowing him to see that he gets to go if he is good. Hopefully this helps :) |
I have only had Milo for a few weeks but I have already sneaked him in several restaurants. I bought a purse bag and I walk in without saying anything. They didn't either! I was nervous about it at first. But since I have been doing it and he is still a puppy, he has become very accustomed to being in there. He falls asleep right away. |

I have a cute bag that looks like a huge purse. Tina goes everywhere I go. Shopping, movies, traveling, fishing, museums, you name it...Tina's been there. She's like my american express...I never leave home with out her. She loves her bag..and goes in it even if we arent going anywhere. Its her safe place. I was lucky and never had to train her to stay in it. The minute I put the bag next to her she jumped right in. Finding a bag that doesnt look like a pet kennel is the best kind! |

I skip anyplace that serves or prepares food because of health regulations (I don't want to get them in trouble for my actions). Other than that we've gone to the mall, Barnes & Nobel, Home Depot, Lowes, JoAnn's, Michaels and Best Buy with either Rhett or Scarlett. I'm lucky that both of mine think the carrier is a fun place to be. I do have a couple of "purse only" toys that help keep things interesting for them. |
Sofia loves to go to the mall or anywhere really. Most of the time no one even know I have her with me, she is very good in her bag. There are a few stores in the mall that know me and know I usually have her with me. They will come and get me if they see me in the mall, just to show off Sofia. There's even one store that always has something for her a toy or dress or sweater, they just love her. As long as she is happy being in the bag, I'll continue to take her with me. Of course if I have to go in to my office I take her, after all I am the boss, who's going to complain. Lucky for me I don't have to go in often, I can do my work wherever I have a computer. Restaurants are different though, can't do that, unless we eat outside, then I don't mind. |
When I first got Sophia I snuck her into the local diner when I was picking up dinner one night. I put her inside my large coach bag and no one ever knew! :) |
So I bought a carrier that both babies don't seem to mind, but I still haven't gotten the guts to take them anywhere in it. Yes, we have just been walking around the house with it. :) Hopefully I will have the guts soon seeing as I don't want to go anywhere with out taking my two little ones since we have gotten the baby. :) |
Aw i really want a purse to carry poppy in so i can take her everywhere with me too :D xxx |

Rosie has seen malls, grocery stores (away from the unpackaged food), pet stores, the drive in and even a tattoo parlor. Employees have noticed her on multiple occasions and have never yelled at me. Her cuteness is an incredible distraction! |
My suggestion would be NOT to try to "sneak" him in anywhere! Policies regarding pets are set by establishments for a reason. My question, as it always in whenever this is brought up, is this: Why do you feel like the rules should not apply to you? In any case, I can imagine it would be embarrassing to be kicked out of some place for getting caught. Someone posted here not long ago a site where you could enter your city and get a list of all the local establishments that are pet friendly. Perhaps there are some places near you that will allow it that you were not aware of and that would suffice. |
