OKC PuppyMill Raid- OKYorkieRescue Steps In!
 
OKC raided a puppymill the last few days. There are about 20 Yorkies and OKYR is going to try to take all of them. The shelter still has to finish their processing and OKYR should be able to pull the dogs early next week.

The Yorkies (all older) were in pretty bad shape. LOTS of hair loss and praying it's just bad nutrition and fleas. The poor babies were covered. They are all going to need dentals which is what will run up the vet bill!!!

So how can you help???

Any (even $5) and all donations add up! You can make one online at their website, Oklahoma Yorkie Rescue. If you would like to send a check, money order, halters, collars, towels, beds, blankets, etc. then please send me a PM and I will give you the details on where to send.

They already have 16 fosters and taking 20 more will be a big undertaking. This group is stepping up tho and taking care of those that cant take care of themselves.

Its a horrible horrible thing that Aurelia Snow has done. There were chihuahua, maltese, and Yorkies. Just a dozen or so puppies but not sure what the breed. All of the Yorkies are older ones. So sad:(

Ollie's party is all going for OKYR next week.

Ollie is such a generous boy, and so lucky to have found you for his momma. That's a great cause! :)

I did and he said that it was ok but if he cant eat cake (from being heartbroken)... he blames you;)

They really need foster homes. Does anyone know anyone in or around the OKC area that could help?

We went to look at the dogs today and they are in HORRIBLE shape. most of them are missing hair and have sores all over their body! Majority of them are over 10. Some of them have no teeth at all..one is missing part of it's jaw. it breaks my heart to see them in that condition.

So sad. I just sent a donation. Wish it could be more but have had so many vet bills myself. I hope you can get more to help these poor babies out.

Thank you, Twalla! I just read the article ... what an undertaking. Wish I were closer and could help out too. What a great job OKYorkie Rescue is doing ... :thumbup::thumbup:. Those poor babies are in terrible shape and I hope the crazy running that mill gets a severe sentence!! :mad:

Going to donate in Honor of Mr. Ollie, OYR I wish you the best and I really hope you can find foster homes, seems like everyone is in such need.

Twalla when you get sizes please let me know I have all ranges I'd love to donate.
