Susan and Little Bit in the hospital tonight Susan and Little Bit were spayed this morning and they're spending the night at the hospital. We pick them up in the morning. We miss them SO much. I took my mother to a whole bunch of doctors' appointments today and took her out to lunch because tomorrow is her birthday (and tomorrow we're not doing ANYTHING but sitting with our babies!) and all we talked about was how sweet Susan and Little Bit and now cute and funny and how much we miss them. Mom has another dog at her house, but my house seems pretty empty. At least my husband is home! Apparently we called a bit much today. I called the vet again a little before 5:00 and I could hear the chuckle in the girl's voice when she got back from checking on the babies. It turns out my mom and just called and checked on them and forgotten to call me to let me know. But apparently they're fine. I had a liver and kidney function test done, so I guess I'll know the results of that tomorrow. Mom elected not to, but I was concerned because Susan was SO quiet when I first got her. I was worried that she was sick. She may have been, though I don't think so. She's much more active now. |

I know you both miss them, but I'll bet they miss you even more. Just imagine the wiggling they'll be doing tomorrow when you go to get them. :D |

Susan and Little Bit are home and doing well, just a little slowed down. They both want to lick their incisions and Susan acts like she's downright scared to let me out of her sight, but other than that they seem fine. It's sure good to have them home! |
So glad they are doing OK. I'm sure you missed them last night! Please give them YT hugs!!!! Oh and Happy Birthday to your Mom. :D |
I am glad to hear that they are home and doing well....as for them licking the stitchs , I went to the department store in the baby section and bought onesies for Yoda to wear to keep him from licking....worked like a charm :) |

My vet says to allow them to lick the incision. Just not to overdo. They said she will take care of it and she did and she's healed and running around like crazy now. I've got a very good vet, too, and she raises little yorkies. She's a wonderful person, too. :) |

Enjoy the clinging while you can! So sweet and loving - even if drug induced! My guy doesn't like to cuddle until he is passed out cold at the end of the day. Then it's not an in-the-arms cuddle its an I-will-grant-you-the-pleasure-of-having-you-sleep-beside-me cuddle! :p They are so much stronger than we give them credit for. They take it better than we do... maybe we should be the ones getting the drugs! :D |
I'm so glad to hear they both did well through their surgeries and are home and recovering! Maddie sends get well kisses!!! Isn't it a huge relief to have that behind you? |
