My Kwigy-Bo is here!!! YAY!!! My Kwigy-Bo Palm Beach London JUST arrived and I'm soo excited to start getting Oliver adjusted to it! Thank you SOO much Ryan (RDB911) for selling it to me, its GORGEOUS! :D I wanted to ask everyone what the best way was to get them used to a carrier?? I read some people have had success by putting a treat inside OR putting them in it and giving them a treat so they get excited to go in it? Oliver is almost 4 months and I have not put him in a carrier yet so this will be his first one, I hope he loves it!!! :aimeeyork |
When I got my last two yorkies they were 4 months old and I didn't need a trick to get them in a carrier I put them in and they were fine no whining, barking or anything I have had them a little over a month now and I put them in it often so they continue to be use to it... Good luck and congrats on your new addition. |

Fasten them in Any pups in a carrier should be fastened in with their harnass. I know of a pup who wasn't fastened in and the zipper was partially open and she jumped out! |
I started putting Mia in one when we got her and left a toy and a small treat for her. She never utters a peep. At times if she is restless when she goes in we play the Anne Frank game. I tell her that she is a method actress and is Anne Frank hiding, Adolph (the cat) is in the room..... I keep hoping she can expand into being Scarlett Ohara in the next play! Not sure what role the cat is going to play... My hubby thinks I am nuts.... I think she frankly just loves getting to be with me and go everywhere so the carrier is a natural. I always try to not take her where she will get really warm in it. |
