New Yorkie Lover :D Hi everyone, I'm new here :) I've got a 3 month old yorkie. She's the sweetest thing ever! She's about to take her 1st bath and i'd like to know your opinions on the Herbal Groom (Bio-Groom) shampoo? After some very hot summer days she has a bit of dandruff, do you think that it can help? I'm feeding her Royal Canin for Yorkies. Kisses and many thanks :) Wish you all the best! |
Welcome to YT!! I've never used that type of puppy shampoo before but let us know how it works! My little guy is 3 months too :) Can't wait to see pics of your little furbaby!! |
Photos I think that they all look the same at this age :P But as soon as i get her all clean and shinny i'll post some photos :D |
Warm welcome to you and your new baby!! |
Hello and welcome to YT. I don't use that shampoo and don't know alot about it. I used a shampoo as a puppy that had aloe in it. Now I use one that has Oatmeal. It seems to work find on Pixie. |
Welcome. I have used bio-groom products, but not that particular one, and they have worked fine. Hope your little one enjoys the bath. |
My baby Shampoo Well..the shampoo has aloe, rosemary, chamomile...It is said to be all natural. oh dear...i'm so afraid of bathing her with something that can make her sick! I'm just about to pay a professional to bath her for the first time, but i think it is an important bonding experience... By the way, i'm portuguese so...sorry if the english isn't perfect :P But the love for dogs is universal :p |
Welcome to YT :D |
I use & love Coat Handler shampoo & conditioner. Also, be sure the food is of the puppy variety. Some of the "Yorkie" specific stuff is for adults. And welcome to YT. |
Welcome to YT! Congrats on your new baby. ... One thing I would recommend is possible switching her food if possible as Royal Canin isn't the best dog food in the world. It has corn, wheat, and bi-products, not good for dogs at all. Foods I would recommend: Taste of the Wild Innova EVO Acana Blue Buffalo Canidae Pinnacle Orijen Wellness Sorry if it seems I might be lecturing, just want you to make the best decisions possible for your baby! |
I haven't used that shampoo but I have used their anti-itch oatmeal creme rinse and I LOVE it. It makes her coat so fluffy and soft and seems to help the itching! Based on the creme conditioner I wouldn't hesitate to use their other products. Oh yes I would also look into other foods. I was using another brand of food and it made my little girl soooo itchy. I switched to Canidae and she her scratching is way down. |
Welcome to YT I am also new... |
Hello :) I don't know any of those brands :S do you know if we have it in portugal? Royal Canin was advised to me by the breeder and by the vet and I also feed my cat with Royal Canin indoor but i'll surely try to find those brands you mention! If i could buy everything related to my baby I would :P What about the shampoo, do you know anything about bio-groom? |
HIII welcome :D :D |
