One lil suggestion: I can't tell if the blanket is on carpet or tile? If its on carpet - you might want to get a piece of linoleum from Home depot (around $10) and put it between the carpet and blanket to avoid leak thru. Contrats and good luck!!! |
I think the pen looks great. That is gonna be one lucky pup. It is very obvious that you are excited and only want the best for him. I agree with extra pads, as he gets older you can start to minimize after he gets used to going on them. Sometimes a ticking clock wrapped in a blanket can help soothe a puppy. Good luck and congratulations. :aimeeyorkYorkieProud:aimeeyork :pMY YORKIES ARE SMARTER THAN SOME HUMANS I'VE MET!!:p |
That looks perfect! The only thing that comes to mind is the question how long it may take until he sleeps where he is supposed to sleep... in your bed... LOL... The pen is great for during the day though... |
How exciting that your baby is coming tomorrow! :yay_jump::yay_jump::yay_jump: You are going to be such a good mommy to him. If it were me I would make the area smaller and take out the blanket and just use pads. Maybe you should look into buying washables? Are you picking him up from the airport or driving to get him? I'm excited for you. :) |

I came back from the movies and I finally got to look at my email on my phone. I am sooo happy for all the responses!! Thank you all so much.. Actually underneath is a vinyl table cloth to prevent any accidents from seeping into the hardwood floor. :) should I remove the blanket and blanket it with pee pads?? |

It looks great to me too. I agree with the person who suggested a piece of flooring instead of the blanket. Copper's pen is similar, but he loves to tip his water bowl and I have to clean that up as well as the potty pads. Occasionally he misses the potty pads or the pee seeps over the edge and the pad ends up wet underneath. As soon as the urine smell gets on the blanket, you are going to want to pull it up as it will stink after a short while. A piece of flooring will wipe up quickly. Best wishes to you and your new baby! |
