I've been holding off on saying anything since I didn't want to jinx it, but DH and I have now made plans to go meet a little doggie this weekend! He was rescued from a shelter here in Korea by a woman I met through Animal Rescue Korea.

I thought DH would never go for a second dog, but we decided that Meg needs a playmate. :animal-pa The crazy part of all of this is that we are about to move from Korea to Arizona in 6 days. Phew! Ideally we would have more time to let the new dog adjust to our lifestyle before we completely disrupt it, but I figure it's better to give him a good home, even if that home will involve an almost immediate plane ride.

We don't know too much about this little guy because of the language barrier (I don't speak Korean), but he was rescued a couple weeks ago and has been living with his foster mom. He is very underweight, but the vet says he's healthy aside from that.

I AM SO EXCITED!!!! We plan to take him home with us on Saturday as long as he and Meg get along well and he seems like a good match for us. I am super excited to meet him!!:D

Thanks for being excited with me, guys!! I can't stop thinking about him! :) Of course I'm also packing for my move to the US, so that is on my mind, too. haha.

Dogs do not need to be quarantined as long as they have gotten the Rabies vaccination at least 30 days prior to arrival. If they had gotten it only, say, 25 days before arrival, they'd be quarantined for the remaining 5 days. But GUESS WHAT ---- (another sign that it's meant to be?) this little fella will have exactly 30 days on the day we travel!

If we end up getting him, we would like to change his name. His foster mom has been calling him "Silver". I am a huge fan of the big-dog-name on Yorkies (hence "Megatron" aka "Meg") so I'm thinking of naming him "Tank" or "King Kong" aka "King" (or "Kong"!). My fav is "King" but DH likes "Tank". I like big dog names I can shorten to something more normal sounding, like how Meg's name is. :cool:

Any other big, bad-ass dog names you all can think of? :p

Hehe aww Tank is such a cute name! My BF wanted to name our little pup Brutus haha :p

Naming our next dog Optimus Prime was a running joke, but what can we shorten it down to? Opie? I don't know...

And we had Rocky on our list, but not Rambo. I'll mention it to DH! :)

Actually, I know it's weird but I call my bf Optimus prime.. or prime for short. It's because our Xbox Live "gamertags" are pretty much anything name we want to put.. like mine is nikkipoop (hence my member name:D) and he's Optimus.

So I guess the point I'm trying to make is.. Call him Prime? ;)

GOOD LUCK.....keeping fingers & toes crossed for it to all work out!! He is so cute, so needs to good home. He will be one lucky little fella and have a new sissy too. Can't get any better than that!

Good news!!!

Our little family has grown by one! DH and I went by plane, train, and automobile (ok, no plane!) to meet "Skinny". We spent well over 9 hours on Korean public transportation... trust me, that's a lot of time to be packed like sardines with a thousand of your closest friends, lol.

Meg was a total brat to our new dog when she first met him. I think she was stressed from the trip down there and from bouncing around between homes these past few days. (We are in the middle of a move from Korea to the US.) Anyway, she snarled at him and did not want to play with him at all. Thankfully, she warmed up to him over the next twenty or so minutes and started playing. Yay!!

On the way back to our place (4.5 hrs!!), Meg and the new pup snuggled up on my lap and took a nice nap together. It was really cute. And now they are playing together! Woohooo!!!!!!

I'll post some pics soon. And the name? <drumroll>

More photos coming tomorrow. I didn't realize how hard it would be to get a not-blurry picture with BOTH dogs in the frame! lol

I'm exhausted after a very long day, but both dogs are doing great. They are enjoying some of AMD's bullies right now (gonna have to order more!!) and hopefully will conk out soon.

Congratulations!!! TBone is adorable. I am so glad Meg and Tbone are getting along. By the time you get back to the states they will be best buddies.
