stinky puppy So my 10 week old little stinker decided to roll in her poop today my question is...is it safe to give her a full out bath or should i just use a wash cloth? |
I would do a full bath, especially if some got stuck in her coat. I have washed certain limbs alone when Kaji accidentally pees on himself. (he gets too excited and runs off before he's done doing his business) |
Puppy bath Hi, puppy bath is better than a filthy puppy, just be sure that you have a warm place after bath. Also be careful so that your puppy have a pleasant experience with her first bath, if possible avoid water in her face. Maria |
This is my first post! I've got a 6mth little puppy called Toffee, and he done the exact same thing when he was 10weeks, we stuck the heating on in the bathroom and made sure we had proper puppy shampoo first! Make sure you don't make it too stressful, we put some toys in the bath so he played with them while we gave him a scrub and gave him puppy treats after for being a good boy, now he loves his baths! Especially the hairdryer where he tries to eat the air! Funniest little thing! We was really careful not to get his face wet though and we just use a damp cloth to give him a clean until he was used to the water on his face. Hope this helps! Jen xx |

Use a puppy shamoo. Regular baby shampoo dries out coat and scalp, but if that's all you have at the moment, go ahead. |
