New pup My daughter and I have been searching for a new yorkie pup, and think we found the one we want but there are a few details that have me a little nervous. The pup will not be 6 wks old until Monday and has already been weaned for a couple of weeks and is being fed softened puppy chow. Does anyone know if this is ok? The owner sounds young on the phone and this is her first litter, I almost feel like I need to rescue him. I have a 4yr old female and I remember I couldn't pick her up until she was 10 wks.:animal36 |
It is possible that the puppy is weaned from momma, however, please do not take the puppy from momma till at least 12 weeks. If at all possible, go to the home and visit with the puppy and breeder, if you do not feel comfortable with the breeder, look elsewhere. |
