has anyone heard or dealt with a breeder in pa name xtremepups.com was looking at their pups online was thinking of taking the hike up there just wanted to see if anyone has heard of them??????

I live in Pa. and have never heard of them. Just be careful. Ask lots of questions and if it doesn't feel right to you look somewhere else.

You didn't post a link. Oh, and did you read the threads I linked in your other thread? They give you warning signs to look for. It's for the best that you know what to look for, since the forum can only help so much. We can give you the tools, but it's up to you to do most of the work.

Post a link and we can give you our honest opinion of what is posted and what warning signs to look for.

Don't know if this helps:

I knew I saw that name somewhere. They are the breeders of my Biewer, who was sold for breeding to another kennel, before I acquired her.

I looked at their website... impressed that they adopt out their 'Teacup sized pups' to pet homes only....

The website tells you basically nothing, which I guess is why you are trying to find out about the breeder here. I'd be leary, she has no registry listed, no pedigrees of the dogs, nothing about health testing or health guarantees.

Good luck finding a puppy.

Ditto. There is no information there. If you're truly interested, call her and ask her to send you a copy of the adoption application/questionnaire and a copy of her contract/guarantee.
Also, if you read some of the threads at the top of the "Yorkies for sale/wanted" section, which I think I posted for you, one of them gives you a list of good questions to ask, as well as what to look out for.

FIRST red flag.....on the home page they advertise "babydoll face"!

SECOND red flag....lots of puppies available!

No contract or guarantee is on the website

I would look elsewhere!

think they only have 3 or 4 yorkies pics are from birth and up but same puppy

I would definately stay away from this breeder. Stay away from the classifieds, internet. You need to meet your breeder first. You buy your breeder, then your puppy. You are buying a relationship. If at any point you don't feel comfortable with your breeder, walk away. I don't care how much a pup tugs at your heart; all pups are cute.

:thumbup: I think your breeder should be one of your greatest sources of information. A good relationship will make it easier for you to get your questions answered. YT is a great resource but a knowledgeable breeder by your side is better.
