What Does Everyone Feed There Furbabies ???
 
Hello All I am looking for a good brand of dog food and have found 2 that i think would be good !!! I am really impressed with Chicken soup for dogs and looking into Royal canin -the yorkie brand .. Can you guys let me know what you feed your yorkies and What size is the kibble ? is your band specific for small breeds ? do you feed canned, dry, or combo ? Thanks so much for your help

I feed a combo of dry Wellness puppy food, and the canned Wellness food. I think the kibble is kind of big though....I have to make it mushy so that my yorkies can eat it :)

I feed Royal Canin for puppies mini bites. I also give my dogs some Lil Caesars as a treat everyday.

Royal Canin Puppy 33 and will be switching to the Royal Canin Yorkshire 28 when he is 10 months old :)

Mine just love Royal Canin YT, but Gracie was getting to be a real porker :( and Boodah has been Itching and Scratching a lot lately :eek: , I don't know if the itching and scratching is attributed to the Royal Canin or to something else.......I have switched to Chicken Soup today dry and canned and they both woofed it down. I will just have to wait and see if Boodah's itching slows down. :)

When mine were young they got only Science Diet Lamb and Rice. As adults they love Royal Canin and Innova. Not sure of spellings. I try not to give them wet food but I do mix in a little cheese. I picked up Chloe today from the groomers and she felt like she weighed 10 lbs, I think she's getting too many treats.

We use Eukenuba--our baby right now is currently still with the breeder and is eating Chicken Soup for the Soul ? and we will be switching her over as well.

I have been using Iams Mini Chunks for over 17 years. I like that the poops are small and firm. I LIKE FIRM :D

I also use the 'caesar' brand semi soft food to mix with their morning meal. It's a little special and not too soft to make bad poops. Still nice and firm. I LIKE FIRM :D

I use Yorkie Royal canin too. I started her on Science Diet until I saw what was in it. I absolutely hate chicken by-products. I hate the thought of feeding her beaks and faeet, etc. Also, if you feel it, it is really greasy. Ick! I do feed her brown rice, chicken, vegs, and a little fruit in the morning. I feel it is good for her and she is thriving on it and the Royal Canin.

I feed the raw diet by Natural Balance at one meal and I alternate kibble (RC, Nutro, Natural Balance) for the other with mixing in shredded cheese, cottage cheese and Natural Balance rolls for treats when training.

I feed her Eukanuba. I saw somewhere it's not the best quality food. But the breeder fed her that brand and it seems to be working great for her.

I feed Royal Canin. They love it and I like the fact that it's made especially for yorkies. :aimeeyork

I feed mine Royal Canin and Solid Gold. I also feed them Lil Cesars. I just switched to Royal canin because i heard great things about it and when we were visiting my friend (who feeds her Yorkie Royal Canin) my two wolfed her food right down.

My adult eats Pro Plan for small breed and my puppies eat a mixture of Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lovers Soul and Puppy Pro Plan. I really wanted to know what to feed also and found that one thing is for sure....if someone is for it then someone else is against it. I don't mean on YT, I mean if you go online and read reviews on each food individually.

Solid Gold Wee Bits - Rowdy WILL NOT eat bigger kibbles, so our choices are limited.

Gucci was eating Canidae. I noticed she looses interest often, so I have being alternating. I also feed her Natural Balance Rolls, she loves them. Im thinking to try Chicken soup kibble next. I havent found a dry food that she will really wolfed down. I hope this will be it. Gucci is extremely picky.

I use Natural Choice Puppy food.... Less poop!! And makes their coat nice. my pekingese hardly sheds anymore it is great!!

Olivia is the pickiest eater ever, and the only thing I can get her to eat without havng to hand feed her is Royal Canin Yorkie. The kibbles are small, the best I can compare them is that they are about the size of the nail on my pointer finger.

But she will only eat certain pieces of it. She picks up pieces and them puts them back down on her placemat, and she will not eat them, no matter what I do to make her try. I guess those are the "unsatisfactory" pieces :rolleyes:

Hi, I'm Sandy and I'm new here. I feed Burns Pet Nutrition mini bites and I make my own "Yorkie Stew." (that's what I call it) I leave the dry food out all the time and I feed them their "stew" every evening. I have two male yorkies, Dudley is 4 yrs old and weighs 5 lbs and Dinkey is 11 month and weighs 7 lbs. They are spoiled rotten and I adore them. Their stools appear to be good. Well formed! I sure hope I'm doing this response right??? Sandy, Dudley, and Dinkey

A 50-50 mixture of Nutro Chicken meal rice and oatmeal and lamb meal and rice formula small bites.
