Is Garden Ridge Pottery Pet Friendly - ASAP Please I am leaving for Garden Ridge Pottery in a few minutes. Does anyone know if it is pet friendly. I've called several locations, but all the phones are automated. Definitely cannot get a live person. They direct you to their email address!!!! |
I found out the hard way. If anyone reads this post, they are NOT pet friendly. |
Uhoh. Were they at least nice about it? |
That's too bad. I don't see what it would hurt to take your small dogs into a store like Garden Ridge. Thanks for the heads up. |
Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that. Fry's Electronics isn't either. We found that one out the hard way too. They have a cafe in the center and that's the reason they gave. Come to think of it, doesn't Garden Ridge have a cafe too? |
The funny part is that our dogs are cleaner than most people! |
We knew the risks when we left the house with Betty Boop. The dh and I took turns at going in and deciding which pottery we wanted. I didn't see a cafe or any food items at the one in Round Rock, TX. If they had one, I sure didn't see it. It's been years since I was in a Garden Ridge, but I think the one in Mesquite has a small cafe. I even called the Chamber of Commerce in 3 different cities trying to find an answer. No one could tell me! Garden Ridge isn't a member. It worked out OK, though. A good time was had by all and it was worth it just to have her with us.:) |

Yes, they were very nice. Guess they were just following the "higher ups" rules. They all thought she was really cute and had a fit over her!!:D |
Garden Ridge Glad they were, nice isn't it great when people love our babies! :) |
I go to the Garden Ridge in Mesquite. I don't know if they are pet friendly or not but I was checking out one day and there was a lady in front of me with a small yorkie in her purse. As far as I know they said nothing to her about it. They use to have a little snack area but unless it has been lately they closed down the one they had. |
Oh wow, I think most places that don't sale food be ok, if you have them in a stroller or inside the bag like Sandysbabies said, that is been our experience anyway:rolleyes: but you never know this days I guess:( |
A little off topic, but I sneaked Daisy and Teddy into Marshalls in the stroller. I didn't ask permission but I just whisked them to the back (trying to hide them with the top closed) and they kept poking their little noses out. A couple of customers awwed and petted them and wanted to know where they could get a stroller too. We just checked the pet section and rushed right back out. I have a feeling they weren't supposed to be in there but luckily we didn't run to any employees. |
Marshalls let me take Zoe in and it was fine, I held her because she hates being in a purse or carrier. |
I have taken mine in Garden Ridge here. I think it depends on who is working the store. I used to take mine to Joann's. They now have a corporate policy that does not allow pets.:thumbdown I always kept mine in their stroller .. see no reason not to allow them in there. My pups behave better than many kids I see running through that store. grrr Hobby Lobby loves my pups...that is a place they love to go to. And..they also go to the Coach store in the mall here. They are total pet lovers in both of those stores. I have also taken them to Dillards and never had a problem. So...I really think a lot of times it is just management. |

Are Dillard's and Hobby Lobby pet friendly or did you just take a chance on it and it worked out for you? I would love to take her more places with me and these are two places that I shop. I can call and ask. Thanks! |
