I found an ad on a local advertising site for a "maybe" pregnant Maltese/Yorkie mix. I wasn't sure bcs the ad wasn't clear so I emailed the lady asking if she's selling her pregnant dog. She said yes and if she "took" she's due Memorial Day. Can you imagine rehoming a dog right before she delivers puppies? I wish I could take her in!!!

I just went to go look for the ad to see if I could link it here and it's gone. Here is what her ad read:

Morkie possibly prego
I have a Ckc Morkie 1/2 Maltese 1/2 yorkie bred to full blood male yorkie . Puppies if she is prego due Sunday Memorial day asking $400

This was my email response:


I'm confused are you selling the pregnant mom?

And then this were her final response:

Yes , she is due if she took Memorial day . she is chunky like she is but not sure .


So, I'm not a breeder so I know nothing about this but don't pregnant dogs go to the doctor to verify that kind of thing?

Gee, she sounds so educated. Sounds like she purposefully bred her? "If she took".
She didn't say why she is getting rid of her?

Do you think it's possible for you to save this little one? If you can't keep her, we'll help you find a rescue that can. I feel so bad for this little girl. I know money is tight, and if you can't I understand. What if the shallow human that has her will bargain with you?
Ok, so it's all crazy talk on my part. I just feel really bad for this little girl!!

So she is not sure that the dog is pregnat? but she is due around memorial day? so that mean she have not taking the dog to the vet yet? ugg this make me so mad:mad::thumbdown hope someone adopt this little one and give her the home she deserve, I'm afraid that she will end up on wrong hands, and she will be breed again and again:(, is anyway you can talk to her for let her go for less since all the vet bills, that she and the pups will need, or you can place her in a good rescue. I hope is not a scam from that lady to you:animal-pa

:yeahthat: I have the same concerns. I don't think I'll sleep well tonight worrying about this little girl.

Her ad was on www.southeasttexas.com So I'm pretty sure it wasn't a scam. I don't know why she's getting rid of her. About the time she responded with her answer I was uncovering the "owie" on Precious's head...(another thread). I can't take her in right now but more because my husband would say no rather than financial reasons. I'm tempted to email and see if she has sold her because the ad is gone :(
