Joey is getting neutered right now - please make me feel better! Joey went through a lot of trauma at a young age (he was stepped on accidently and was in ICU For five days), so I felt really guilty leaving him this morning to get neutered. Can everyone reassure me that I did the right thing.....please list some of the positive things that come out of neutering so I don't feel so guilty for leaving my little baby....:( I don't plan on breeding him, so I know there are many health benefits, right?? Can you tell I am a basketcase right now? |
Oh don't worry!!! Joey will be fine! We all worry when we drop them off and then feel terrible when we pick them up... But then tomorrow he will be back to his normal self and you be like what was all the fuss about... the hard part will be keeping him still for the day :D Hmmm... I have a little girl, so I don't know what the exact advantages are for a boy, but less chances for cancers etc at an older age. Hopefully no marking problems. Hopefully no humping... |
Oh Joey will be just fine. When my male was neutered he came home that night and you couldnt tell he had been through anything. We had to slow him down. Neutering keeps them from getting testicular cancer. It also keeps them from doing undesirable behavior such as marking. He will be fine and you will be glad to have it done and over with. |
I have a little girl too, but she went through it with flying colors. I know about being nervous because I could not even drop her off. My husband had to do it. I would have started crying and my little stressed Roxie ( who by the way hates the vets office) would had been more stressed out. She starts shaking as soon as she gets to the door. But she did just fine even when they told me she had the smallest uterus they had ever seen (not her-just her uterus for some reason). He will home before you know it and doing the usual Yorkie stuff you love. :p |
